We had the good fortune of connecting with NADIYA POPADYUK and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi NADIYA, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Never stop dreaming! Believe in Yourself! These are my all time favourite life mottos. Keeping up the faith when we are in the middle of trying times is the main goal. When you believe in yourself, you can overcome all obstacles and have the confidence to take action and start your own business. It’s very important to start before you’re ready and that’ll lead you to success. I started thinking of myself as a personal brand. At the beginning the most valuable question was what do I wish for people to associate me when they hear my name or a name of my PR company. In Ukrainian language the name Nadiya means Hope. When you choose hope, everything becomes possible in life: you create your own reality, life happens for you, obstacles help you to grow. That’s why I never changed my name on social media platforms, I tried to be seen and get noticed as Hope.
In two years of my life in Los Angeles I have 13 thousand real followers on Instagram and I’m proud of dozens successful collaborations with respectful worldwide famous brands.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a fashion stylist at Bloomingdale’s. In my first year with the company, I’ve climbed my way into the General Manager’s Club with sales over $500,000. I introduced 158 customers to our loyalty program and became top account opener in Sherman Oaks. If it were easy, everyone would do it. I took action and gave 120% of my knowledge, experience, talent. It was not easy but I never give up and overcome the challenges with all my inner strength.
I love fashion, it is my biggest inspiration and passion in life. I speak five languages – Ukrainian, English, Italian, Russian and I speak Fashion!
Style is one of the primary ways in which people express their personality and their secret world. I love to create my own fashion trends. I enjoy to be inspirational model for my clients and followers. I like to learn more about style of different cultures and nationalities.
We all have different desires, dreams and objectives. As a fashion stylist and a perfectionist I always try to feel the inner beauty of every person I meet, in this way their unique style becomes a powerful energy. It can change lives.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I visited more than 30 countries, but Los Angeles is the whole world for me. It is my true LOVE and my American dream. I enjoy hiking to the Hollywood Sign, you can feel freedom and success spirit there. It’s a magical energy place for my soul.
I adore Pacific Ocean! One of my favorite secret spots is Sycamore Cove Beach, it has many wonderful and beautiful sights, especially gorgeous sunsets. Sometimes, when you are lucky, you can see dolphins in the water there, it is one of the greatest heart-racing experiences you can have in your life.
I am fond of LA restaurants. My favorite restaurants are Il Cielo located in Beverly Hills and The Cellar – A Wine Library located in Pasadena. Both are unique and wonderful, have delicious cuisine and beautiful drinks & food presentation, sweet fairytale atmosphere.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In 2019 I started my own TV show “Sexy Accent Interview” with the aim to present genius people who live in Los Angeles. I want to present successful and inspiring stories of Hollywood hidden gems – people behind the camera (monster creators, robot builders, makeup artists, choreographers, scriptwriters, directors, producers, stuntmen, cartoons drawers, etc.), business owners, talented people in different spheres of life. They answer to my uncommon questions and share their values of life. I interviewed amazing American electrical engineer, roboticist, television host, and actor – Grant Imahara, a Legendary Monster Maker Special makeup effects artist, creature FX sculptor, and monster maker – Norman Cabrera, a New Zealand Actor/Stuntman and Filmmaker – Luke Hawker… and more interviews are coming soon.
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my company’s (PR Legend Inc.) great partner and videographer – Samuel Gurrola (Rock Crown Productions).
He creates beautiful music and real magic with his editing skills, he makes sure every Sexy Accent Interview episode is unique and inspiring.
