We had the good fortune of connecting with Natasha Galano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natasha, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
I do have a favorite quote, and I have it tattooed on my left shoulder. In Spanish, it reads, “Lo que está pa’ ti nadie te lo quita,” which translates to, “What is for you, no one can take away.” I still repeat it to myself at every audition and every opportunity that doesn’t happen. As an actor, the rejection can be constant, but what should also be constant is the thought that whatever missed you didn’t have your name on it. And that’s comforting somehow. It helps me keep going.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m the only child of Cuban immigrants, so I wasn’t allowed to go outside much. I was very sheltered as a little Cuban girl, so I grew up as a TV and film kid. After school, I would watch novelas with my maternal Abuela, action films with my step-dad, Star Trek with my paternal Abuelo, and comedies and movies about epic journeys and love with my Madrina. This diverse exposure to storytelling is what I would say sets me apart. I bring a multitude of perspectives from that little girl to my work.

A BIG part of how I view the world is expressed through my childlike wonder, as my friends call it. It’s this sense of wonder that fuels my creativity and connects me deeply to the stories I tell. My work aims to make others feel seen and less alone, just as those TV shows and movies did for me as a kid and that’s something I’m intensely proud of.

Getting to where I am today professionally wasn’t easy (it never is). I’ve faced many challenges, from navigating the competitive nature of the industry to dealing with personal hardships like surviving cancer (twice) and the loss of my father and grandparents. Each obstacle taught me resilience, the importance of self-belief and that where I come from and what I’ve learned along the way is one of my super powers. My unique perspective is my strength, and it’s something I continuously strive to share through my art.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I believe we all have superpowers and that my purpose is to tell stories that resonate so much, that they can’t help to realize their personal journey and super powers within. My experiences have shaped me into an artist who is passionate about showing that no one is ever truly alone. I want my work to inspire, comfort, and connect people, letting them know that their stories can be epic.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ok, so my favorite things to do in LA are eat, drink and be merry! Its always best to start of the week with something to look forward to so
– Monday, we take a ride down the PCH while blasting some yacht rock and pull over for some old school Neptunes Net make it a fun/divey kinda day then go to Paradise Cove (not for the food lol) grab some fruity drinks and post up by the beach.
– Tuesday, we’re going to my favorite restaurant in LA right now, Loreto. It’s in frogwtown and it’s Mexican inspired seafood with the boldest flavors and the drinks and desserts are to die for! Then head to Bar Flores to continue the party cause Loreto closes at 9pm
– Wednesday, let’s go to a show at the main room of The Hollywood Improv, Its always so fun to go and see some of your favorite comedians in person and The Improv is a classic then we’d probably end of at Jones for some late night happy hour for some dirty martinis and some yummy pizza.
– Thursday day lets go to The Getty Museum and have some wine on the grounds, and look at the exhibition they have that day, then go to the Hollywood Bowl for an amazing show hopefully with the philharmonic accompanying.
– A Friday Dodger game is a must! Dodger dogs, micheladas, fireworks. So fun!
– My best friends have a boat so we would all go to Catalina OR Santa Barbara on Saturday and have the best Saturday Fun Day
– And Sunday, if it were football season, a Rams game otherwise, lets say… rest :)))))

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate this Shoutout to my mother, Aurora. She sacrificed and still sacrifices so much to support me in everything I do. To my aunt Ana Beatriz, who is also an Aries and from whom I get my creative and cynical side. My amazing friends, who I can be myself around, and some who are part of my creative circle, inspire and encourage me with every self-tape audition and every booking we get together. But I also have to be honest and dedicate this Shoutout to myself. I’ve worked really hard to keep pushing for my dreams, and I know that little Natasha would be in awe of the woman and artist I’ve become and am becoming every day.
