We had the good fortune of connecting with Naz Meknat and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Naz, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I believe my Integrity, hardwork and perseverance is the reason. I love what I do and I do it with passion and I work hard to perfect my craft. Every client is a priority. When you do your job with love, when you are honest and don’t give up after the first try, when you take the job seriously and put your heart and soul into it, success follows.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a celebrity wardrobe Stylist, an Author and an Advocate. I’ve working in the fashion industry for over 15 years, since I graduated from Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. I dress celebrities for their Red Carpet events, interviews or photo-shoots and I work with non-celebrities as well, for a full on makeover or a special occasion. Recently I got a book deal to write my memoir, “7000 Miles To Freedom” and tell my story of surviving domestic violence, a dictatorship regime and how I escaped and immigrated to the United States. Since the pandemic, my fashion styling business has slowed down since there are no events and gatherings so it has given me more time to write and finish my book but I look forward to going back to work and to my Styling projects while I continue my advocacy and fight against domestic and sexual abuse towards women.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Los Angeles has a lot to offer. From a scenic hike at the Observatory or a fun-filled walk in Hollywood to look at all the historic places and the starts on the walk of fame. Of course shopping at the Grove or Rodeo drive is always a treat. Pre Pandemic there were also many art galleries, museums and exhibits to visit as well. Brunch in one of the cool spots on the beach in Malibu and later an amazing dinner at one of many great restaurants in the city finish with a rooftop bar for a drink with the beautiful view of the city of Angeles.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout out to all the essential and front line workers. At this time it’s only fair to remember how these brave people put their lives in the line everyday to save ours. Shoutout to everyone who understands the severity of this climate and do their part to keep others safe, if we all do our part we can put an end to this terrible pandemic that has devastated many lives.
