We had the good fortune of connecting with Nico Duarte and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nico, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
The reason I pursued a career in creative direction in film/ video production is the ability to work with like minded individuals who all have the same goal of bringing a specific vision to life.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a Video Director and someone that works in the Production Industry, I aim to not only meet the standards of my clients and the industry, but to exceed their expectations through my ability to bring visions to life with efficiency & quality. Taking risks and betting on myself played a very large role in me having the opportunity to start my own production company as well as work alongside such industry professionals and celebrities. Being focus driven, maintaining my passion visual arts and consistently challenging myself has been one of the major keys I’ve learned while pursuing a career in video production.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If visiting Los Angeles for the first time, I would recommend anyone to check out places like the Arts District, Colorado Blvd in Pasadena as well as many locations in downtown Los Angeles/ Long Beach,
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to show thanks and appreciation to both of my mentors in the film industry Ramon Kirk (Twist Images) & Johnathan Reid (7th Tribe Productions, as well as my colleague and partner Chaz Hall (Video Producer). The encouragement and support of my family as well as my wife Aurora Vega is also a big part of my growth & success!
