We had the good fortune of connecting with Nikki Sienna Sanoria and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nikki Sienna, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Having a work-life balance is very important especially for a young professional like me. At the very start of my career, I was very focused on being perfect in what I do that resulted in me being burned out and eventually lost the passion that I had that time. Life is not all about working hard but working smart. Smart enough to take care of ourselves both mentally and emotionally without sacrificing our work. Most of the time, we take for granted our mental wellness because it doesn’t affect us initially but as time goes by it will carry a big load of baggage that will pull us from doing what we love. During the quarantine, it made me realize to take a step back and do other things I haven’t done outside work. I learned some new food recipes, discovered new local places I haven’t been to, invested more in the stock market, and created social media content for myself. There were a lot of self-discoveries that surprised me, to be honest. For instance, I get very creative after midnight and all I can think of are awesome ideas which I put down in my notes whether it’s a new DIY project, crazy social media content ideas, new recipes, etc. It’s really important to have an outlet with your creativity. Write all of your goals and dreams down because if you don’t then you’ll eventually forget it. By doing so it brought back the happiness in me. It made me feel like I have a much clearer blueprint of what I want in my life. I am now more appreciative of all the blessings that I have even those small little things. Every day, I wake up feeling blessed and excited about what the future holds. I know it’s hard to see some positivity in these current situations that we can’t control. What we can control is how we respond to it. I hope and I pray that every one of us gets to have that peace of mind and have that work-life balance we all needed.

What should our readers know about your business?
I run a video production business that focuses more on filming events such as weddings. I also do a lot of commercial and product videos. It wasn’t an easy path to do this business as I started from zero knowledge and just learned from experiences. There were a lot of setbacks but that forged me to who I am today. In this business, it requires thick-skinned and confidence in yourself that you will be able to make it because the competition is tough. What I would like the world to know about my brand is that I always take good care of my clients and over-deliver their expectations.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
California is a beautiful state. It has a nice array of beaches, scenic highways, gorgeous mountain trails, and most importantly good food. I’d say if you visit Los Angeles, take time to go to the beach, relax and meditate. Grab some tacos and bobas. Enjoy the beautiful sunset.
