We had the good fortune of connecting with Nikki Steinsapir and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nikki, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I spent years in one of the largest health plan organizations and saw the challenges clients were faced with, specifically within the behavioral health sector. I was shocked at how many people were in need of services and the lack of providers and access for families. Grow ABA was started with the idea of doing things differently, being a hands-on provider who constantly communicated with their community and remained transparent.

What should our readers know about your business?
Grow ABA is a 100% woman owned, mom owned business. We provide ABA therapy (applied behavior analysis) and have raised the standards of ABA, by providing a dedicated-child centered approach. What sets us apart is our amazing clinical team with diverse backgrounds coupled with our constant ongoing immediate communication with families. When parents have a question related to behaviors or their children, they are seeking immediate answers. We try to be as responsive as possible and guide them through appropriate channels. Our mission is to enrich the lives of neurodivergent children and their families by utilizing evidence-based, data-driven techniques to teach new skills and decrease problem behaviors.

Grow ABA has grown the past couple of years, providing services to families in Los Angeles County, Ventura County and Antelope County. Majority of our referrals are from our clients who see the impact of ABA services and tell their local community. There are many challenges in the healthcare industry and Grow ABA is impacted as well, whether there are a lack of providers, lack of availability, etc. The biggest lesson learned is the importance of transparency. Everything we do, day in and out, we remain transparent and honest with the clients we work with.

What I want the world to know is the science of behavior is evidence backed and works with all human behavior! It is a fascinating science and can be very useful in all areas of life- from work life to school or home settings. If families are dedicated to learning more about the strategies, it can have life changing positive effects.
