We had the good fortune of connecting with Nnamdi Anyanwu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nnamdi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Honestly, I’ve had this idea for awhile now ! I started making pizza back in 2015 but what trully got me obsessed with pizza from making it to eating it was watching this Munchies pizza series they started close to 8 years ago and I remeber watching every single episode and then I just became obsessed ! Everything that I would watch or search was pizza related. The name Melodia is came to me because I think that each pizza should be a melody of flavors, where one ingredient doesn’t overpower the others

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started making pizza back in 2015- 2016 and after that I started working in a bakery where I’d make various doughs from scratch (baguettes, sourdough, croissants etc.)

I am a black entrepreneur with no sponsorship, I’ve been able to accomplish this goal of starting my own pizza business with the help from my mom and God. What really unique about my business is that I’m extremely passionate about what I do. I develop all my own pizza specials, I design all my own flyers, and I personally connect with all of the business I work with. I trully love the Los Angeles community that has helped support me and this goal of mine so far !

I also love helping the community that helps support me so I’ve done several fund raising events and donated to local Los Angeles organizations.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh man, that’s a tough one !

I’ve lived in Los Angeles for 3 years now and I still feel like I’m finding new places to hang out and try ! I would just take them all over LA, there is so much to do, so much to see, eat, & experience. It’s amazing lol

First I’d love to thank my Mom !!

If it was not for her I would not be here, the amount of love that she has is something I trully idolize about her. She helped fund this idea of mine and I’m internally grateful to have her in my life.
