We had the good fortune of connecting with Olga Parno and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Olga, how do you think about risk?
Risk is the name of the game if you want to get anywhere in life. I took a risk at 18 when I decided to move to NYC to pursue a degree and a career in Finance/Investments. Growing up in a small town, leaving my beloved family and childhood friends was not an easy decision. Deep down inside I was scared but excited to take that path. Launching Masktini was a huge risk as well considering the investment involved and me exiting my career in Finance in order to launch and expand the brand. The bottom line, I always follow my instinct and my dreams. If you truly love what you do, you are passionate about it, willing to put the time and effort, surround yourself with smart and dedicated people who share your vision and drive, you will be on the right path to succeed.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My background is in Finance/Investments. I started out in Institutional Equities Sales on Wall St. – far from skincare/beauty world. Launching Masktini and venturing out into skincare came as a result of my personal struggle with sensitive skin over the years. I tried many product lines including professional treatments. I struggled to find a skincare line that did not irritate my skin and did not feel like too much work. Guess what, most of my girl-friends were having similar issues. Masktini is beyond just formulating, manufacturing and marketing a skincare product. It’s about helping modern women on-the-go feel and look their best. The concept of the line is skinimalism (targeting main skincare concerns, combining several products in one, keeping things simple & effortless). Our goal is to make results-oriented products that are effective yet gentle enough even for the most sensitive skin. The line will always stay niche, cruelty-free, TSA approved & primarily vegan. When formulating we do not use any harsh preservatives or perfume that could be quite irritating for sensitive skin. Sustainability is very important to our team. We start with looking for ingredient suppliers that process and manufacture ingredients in a sustainable fashion to packaging partners that source 100% of their energy from wind & solar.
Masktini is a lifestyle of effortless skincare & we are there with you for the long haul.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
LA has so much for to offer!!! We are still under Covid restrictions though. I would dine and have drinks on the West Side, hike in Malibu, go to the beach – probably do more things outdoors. Love Santa Barbara and Sonoma county for wine tasting.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am extremely lucky to have all the support, love and encouragement from my family and loved ones, as well as, my Masktini team.
