We had the good fortune of connecting with Patty Myasia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Patty, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued a creative career so I can have a free outlet to celebrate black culture—black women, before anything else, without being censored. I wanted to find a way to maximize my voice.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I want the world to know that my brand is not for everybody, it’s exclusively for us—the culture. Black women, before anything. It’s been a very easy journey for me, because I never step outside of purpose.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Alongside every boss woman, is a group of boss women. I can’t pick just one, I would like to thank my sisters; Shaquasia, Autty, Soraya, Tisha, Chloe, Angie, Aja, Claudia, Jameer, Meesh, Sash, Tiqua, Yoyo, Prec, Shalice, Nisha and Ryan—thank you for always pushing me to be the best version of myself, whether that’s in life or as a creative woman. I wouldn’t be half as great, without y’all.
