We had the good fortune of connecting with Pengwich and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pengwich, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
“All bands need to pick one genre and stick to it!” We allow the music to take us on a journey. When writing music, we open ourselves to whatever style strikes in the moment. This has led to exploring a variety of genres. Our catalog consists of some pop, rock, blues, dance, ballads, and so much more. Something for everyone!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Our strength is our live show, which sets us apart from others. High-energy and interactive. We love engaging with our fans, both during and after our shows and private events. We refuse to be coffeehouse background music!

Every industry has its challenges. We thrive on live performances and we ride the adrenaline wave from each show to the next. Persistence is key!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First and foremost, wherever Pengwich is performing…with backstage passes, of course! Other than that, we would have to make some food stops – In-N-Out, The Old Spaghetti Factory, Carney’s. Some sights to visit would be our beautiful beaches, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive, and maybe Mt. Baldy for the hikers. If it were around Halloween, Reign of Terror would be an absolute must! Last, but not least, we would have to check out some of the iconic spots on the Sunset Strip – Whisky A Go Go, Viper Room, the Roxy, and Rainbow Bar & Grill.

Shoutout to the person who brought us to the attention of Shoutout LA! Also, thank you so much to our family, friends, and fans who continue to support us by coming out to all of our shows. We love you all! See you at the next one!
