We had the good fortune of connecting with Peter Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Peter, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I began my real estate career with the thought of doing things the right way and not staying focused on what was good for me. We are all about quality care, loyalty, and staying focused on serving our clients what is best for them. Too often, realtors are focused on what they are going to get out of a deal, usually a very nice commission check, but for my team, The Partners, it truly is about doing “Real Estate…The Way It Should Be!” which is our trademarked tag line. When you do things right by your clients it comes back to you ten fold with referrals, repeat business, and gaining the reputation of one where you close, done things correctly, and worked well with the other agent and everyone is satisfied it went according to plan. As they say, you are only as good as your word and reputation.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I like to build things. Years ago in publishing I really enjoys start ups and new magazine launches. My business today is built on new home developments and land acquisition. I love the challenge of building something from the ground up. Taking a developer/investor and showing them land and having a vision and then watching them through the entitlement process and the launch of construction to this day I find so rewarding…from start to finish until we get the properties back to market and bring them to successful closings. Our group, The Partners, have taken over thirty developments ranging from four small lot single family homes to over 100 condominiums all the same…at the end of the day our task at hand is to get them sold and everyone gets their own rewards.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When we need a get away there is nothing better than heading up to Napa and sipping and chilling. Great people all along the way, great laughs, great food, and of course, our favorite great wines! It is without a doubt our family thing to do for a few days…it is our happy place.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife, Deborah, has been a realtor longer than I have been licensed and she was the one who poked me into getting into the business after I had a twenty plus year career in magazine publishing. Where as I had a great career it became to be that making money for others was something that no longer motivated me…the thought of calling me own shots, my own vision, and my own branding was very appealing. You are no longer competing against other brands but measure yourself against your own success. For the past fourteen years I have been very fortunate to have worked along side Harma Hartouni, our company CEO, who is one of the most motivating and loyal people I could have hoped to be in business with. His vision and business acumen is very much along the lines of how I see things should be done. It is a group effort and one that we collaborate on a daily basis.
