We had the good fortune of connecting with Profits and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Profits, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Well for me i’ve come from a family with a strong love for music, there was always plenty of music playing in my household coming up. I believe the music and love for music has always been inside me. I noticed i connected to certain songs from a variety of genres very early. I honestly was super horrible my first recording experience, it was horrible well i was lol. Luckily i was in great company of artist with national recognition from my city they really helped me after a great chuckle.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Nothing is easy whether it be long studio sessions or brainstorming branding or fighting to not be a small fry in this vast universe of music and business. I would like ppl to know that this is music with feeling and ambiance plus an undeniable vibe. Easily what sets me apart is the pure attention to execution of music that can grab you and take you to another place, music should be an escape and my form of art is a ship that’s poised to take millions of music lovers to to places of pure joy, big party vibes and also urban romantic vibes plus more.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well eating would consist of Little Jewel of New orleans, Tocoya Organica, roscoe’s, randy’s donuts and my favorite taco truck Julie’s In Koreatown. I cannot forget country style jamaican inn best jerk ever. For sightseeing purposes the observatory is a must also hiking the trail on the beach in palos verdes is a must. Also for a chill day my favorite beach would be ideal in Marina del rey. For hanging out and drinks it would definitely be as follows Lock and Key for a sunday day party, Berkshire House, Ep Lp and 3rd base. Possibly a table at Poppy if they’re ready for a turn up.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to just shoutout anyone whose ever complimented me on a song a look a lyric anything. Kind words go a long way for upcoming artists, i don’t think some understand the mountain that we are trying to climb as independent artists in obscurity. So positive reinforcement goes hand and hand with some artists confidence. Thank you all past, present and Future.
