We had the good fortune of connecting with Quan Chandler and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Quan, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I would say the most important factor to the current and future success of my brand is, teamwork. I can not do everything alone and it takes a team, a squad, and like-minded group of diverse people to get the job done. I choose to have this mentality, I am not perfect and know that doing this my way, may not be the best to be fully successful. There can be some moments of success on my own, with so many levels to achieving “success” there is not one exact key to opening all the doors.
Having teamwork builds synergy, cohesiveness, and unity. Each and everyday there are challenges, communication issues, and things that can play a role in bringing conflict and criticism. In the midst of this, the success is boiling and brewing like food in crock pot. The time it takes for the pieces to come together, we have establish a productive energy amongst ourselves individually and collectively.
Lastly, teamwork has the ability to heighten the entire image of a brand and the people behind the work. The light casted upon us, can help expanding resources to create success for others. I believe that teamwork does make the dream work together.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Being Laquan Dupreé Chandler aka Big Homie Quan and to all the nicknames and aliases I have had over the years has contributed to my success. My personality, work ethic, willingness, relentless attitude, energy, and confidence has always made me distinctive and distinguish gentleman.
All my challenges have came in various areas, whether if it was not having enough money or having the uncomfortable conversations to finalize deals. This road was never promised to easy from the start, I been able to navigate my way through due to teamwork and learning how to lead in any role that I was assigned. The lessons I learned came from each experience I was apart of, from organizing showcase concerts to weekly radio and media productions. Every hurdle I jumped over came with injuries, setbacks, and unexpected times.
For every brand, business, show, podcast, concert, and everything I been apart of. When people know I am apart of that activity, they know there is a level of professionalism and flare that comes with what I do. I contribute everything into what I do, thats how my mom and dad show me how to invest into myself for my goals to become reality.
