We had the good fortune of connecting with Raven Trammell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Raven, what do you want your legacy to be?
I want my legacy to be that I was a Blessing, in some way, to everyone I encountered. Whether an encouraging word, a listening ear, or a portrait session that made them see their worthiness. I want people to remember me as an artist who used God’s gifts to help other people love themselves more. I want people to remember me for my authenticity, courage, and boldness. I really hope to leave a lasting impact during my short amount of time here on earth.

“I believe that telling our stories, first to ourselves and then to one another and the world, is a revolutionary act. It is an act that can be met with hostility, exclusion, and violence. It can also lead to love, understanding, transcendence, and community. I hope that my being real with you will help empower you to step into who you are and encourage you to share yourself with those around you.”

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m Raven Trammell, a self-taught artist capturing the intersection of tech, art, and social impact. What defines me is fearlessness and authenticity, fueled by curiosity and guided by Divine intuition.

In this phase of my artistic journey, I’m cultivating something incredible called The Legacy Portrait Project, a tribute to my grandma facing dementia. Moments captured in photos, voicemails, and videos inspired Legacy Portraits, blending artistic photography with AR technology for a mind-blowing legacy preservation.
The vision: The Legacy Portrait Project aims to help 1 million people document their legacies, embracing a social enterprise model. Clients experience a luxury portrait session and choose from mediums like canvas, metal prints, or metallic prints to immortalize their family’s narrative.
What sets us apart? The use of Blockchain for The Legacy Project, preserving memories as unique digital assets (NFTs). Clients are written into the smart contract, earning from initial and repeat sales, creating a lasting, appreciating digital legacy.
I’m all about stories, passionate about bringing people together to share experiences. Through The Legacy Portrait Project, I empower individuals, making their stories shine. The potential is vast, and I’m excited to explore different ways to capture and celebrate stories in the future.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting the area, and I wanted to show them around, this is the itinerary I would have for us.

First, I would pick them up from the airport and we would go to the In-N-Out that’s right next to LAX.

The next day I would take them to Santa Monica and Venice, so they could experience that. And from there we could drive up the coast to Malibu, and hit up Neptunes Net. Neptunes Net is an iconic spot with a great view that has a pretty straightforward menu with burgers, fries, fried fish and shrimp and things like that.

The next day we could hit up Portos for breakfast in Burbank, and then go to an indoor race track that’s also around the area.

The next day, I would take them downtown Los Angeles, specifically Santee Alley. I love going down there and experiencing the rich, Mexican, culture and people, it does something to my soul. While we’re checking our Santee Alley, we would have to get fruit cups. Those things will change your life. After walking around a bit downtown, we could hit up the movie theater. And after the movie, head to Danny’s Tacos on the corner of Olympic and Grand.

On the last day, we could explore the Broad Museum. After the Broad, we could go to the Grand Central Market for lunch. I love that place because there are so many options to choose from for food, as well as how picturesque it is there.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shout-out article to my family and the 50mm Collective.

Each of my family members has supported my artistic journey in some way.
