Meet Rebecca Hormozi | Media Producer, Director, and Photo-Taker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Hormozi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rebecca, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, to a Brazilian mom and a Persian dad. During my childhood, I attended Lycée International de Los Angeles. Thanks to my parents, the location I grew up in, and the school I attended, I was exposed to a wide range of cultures. I loved that about LA—everyone you met had an interesting story to tell and there was always something to do!
However, when I was about 7 or 8 years old, I was told we were moving to New Jersey due to my father’s job. I had no idea what to expect. These two places were complete opposites, to say the least. At the time, I felt a bit confused and lost It was my first time living on a military base and attending school there as well. I remember trying to make friends with some girls at my new school, but they didn’t want to be friends because I had “curly hair” and looked “different.” Moreover, since I came from a French-speaking school, I had to take extra speech classes to catch up, which only separated me more from them.
Eventually, I found my core group of friends and grew with them practically until we graduated high school. We’re still friends to this day. By the time I had lived in New Jersey for 8 years, I still felt like a California kid at heart. It wasn’t until I moved to Florida to attend college that I felt like New Jersey was actually my home.
Looking back, I spent the most influential years of my life in New Jersey. There, I learned taekwondo, rode bikes with my friends everywhere, got my first camera, experienced my first heartbreak, got my first job, and realized I didn’t want to work for anyone else—LOL, you get the point. I grew into the woman I am today, met my lifelong friends, and found my purpose. There will always be a special place in my heart for Jersey.
I’m forever grateful for the time I spent in California as well. Even though I was just a young kid, it set a beautiful foundation for me to really understand diversity, culture, and art, which helps me a lot in life and my career as a media production company owner. Both places represent a part of me that is forever engraved in my soul.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I like to say I put my soul into every project and every client I work with, which is one of the inspirations behind my company name, “Supreme Soul Films.” I’m passionate about collaborating with fellow artists and brands who are genuinely creative, deeply passionate about their craft, and have a positive message embedded in their art.
I’m particularly excited about partnering with more artists and growing together in the industry, both personally and artistically. I’m eagerly looking forward to unveiling some of the projects I’ve been quietly working on for a while now. There are numerous directions I envision for my brand, and I understand that achieving these goals will require time and effort, but the journey will undoubtedly be rewarding.
My journey to this point has been shaped by trial, error, self-awareness, and steadfast dedication, all of which contribute to my ongoing success. It’s crucial to recognize that failure is a necessary part of success; learning from setbacks is key to growth. Life can change dramatically with a single person or event, yet overcoming challenges—whether mental, physical, or spiritual—is a testament to resilience.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If one of my best friends were visiting Orlando, I would, of course, take them to the usual tourist attractions like the theme parks and the city, but I’d also love to show them the hidden gems I adore—places like the Springs, my favorite beaches, and charming small towns. One of my absolute favorites is downtown Mount Dora. It’s stunningly beautiful, boasts amazing food and shops, offers delightful sunset boat tours, and even has free pickleball courts in the park! It’s the ideal spot for fun without the overwhelming tourist crowds. A couple of restaurants I highly recommend there are JK Thai and Las Palmas.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my parents. They have supported me through all of life’s challenges since day one, literally. They have sacrificed so much for our family and our future in too many ways to list. Even when we bickered, when I lost a sports game, or when I was deciding on my career path, they were always on my team. I’m lucky enough to have both of them in my life. So, if you’re reading this, go give your parents a hug and tell them how much you love them.
