Meet Rehima Jordan | Professional dancer, fitness professional, and social media influencer expanding her horizons!

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rehima Jordan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rehima, how do you think about risk?
Let’s rephrase the question from the perspective of always betting on yourself! And be your own badass cheerleader while doing it! As an artist in the entertainment industry, who uprooted herself from her hometown to pursue her dreams, I know how much of the right kind of audacity it takes to believe in yourself from a very emotional and spiritual place! I am a Godly woman and have had to truly understand that what’s meant for you won’t miss you. Being daring has helped me immensely personally and in my career as well! Not to mention! It has helped surround me with amazing, high vibrational people because of their ability to be great risk takers. They constantly help me grow into the woman that I want to be.
To go into more detail and a brief shout out to my VitalMoov Gals which is a woman led production service company spearheaded by the wonderful Kim Mantsur. She is the epitome of taking risks in every aspect of her life and in turn has selflessly provided me opportunities to shine in ways in which the Lord has blessed me. We moved to LA around the same time, shortly before the pandemic but she flew from Israel! That one way ticket to LA brings out an indescribable surreal energy and emotion out of you. So, I can only imagine what that did for her! We first met on the job for Nav, Travis Scott and Gunna’s music video for Turks (where you can find your girl front and center dancing as a post-apocalyptic GI Jane). She was the choreographer. From there we instantly clicked and our energy and values aligned so well. We continued working with each other creatively on jobs as well as in our production company.
Another very influential risk taker that I’ve learned so much from is Tia Rivera. I feel like there is a connotation of fear associated with the word risk but her lioness energy defies that. She has challenged me to take even greater risks in my life inside and outside the entertainment industry which has helped me grow as a person and thus an artist.
All of that to say, me betting on myself with God’s great graces has played a major role in the leveling up in my life through opportunities and great people.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
First off I am beyond honored to be interviewed by this amazing brand – So thank you for having me! Shout out to my other Vital Moov baddie Tif for thinking of me to share my story.
I am a professional dancer, fitness professional, model and social media influencer with what I believe to be an unconventional story that makes me unique in of itself. Stated humbly!
I come from a single-parent household and despite us not having much, I’m very privileged that my mother rarely told me no – like not ever. Unless it was to some shady party in middle school I got invited to! She always encourages any and everything that I want to do. But she also pushed me beyond my limits and kept me focused from a very young age and to always strive for excellence. She enrolled me in dance classes at the age of six and always made my training a priority and somehow made it work financially. Two words: Love and Sacrifice.
Additionally she opened my eyes to the STEM field (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics), despite knowing nothing about science. I gratefully state that I am a first generation college graduate who holds a degree in molecular biology and worked in the medical field straight out of college prior to moving to LA. I’m so appreciative of that opportunity because it was one of the five jobs that allowed me to financially afford the move to LA!
Surrounding myself with the right people, energy, my family and Faith have allowed me to overcome challenges. I would like to take this moment to elaborate on some key people that have changed me for the better and explain why they are so important to me being who I am.
So here we go! Shout out to Cameron Boyd and Casey Fenton – dancers from my hometown in STEM for being amazing role models for what is possible artistically and academically. I was introduced to them in high school – and looked up to them as an underclassman. They were always so kind to take the time to explain what they do and inspire me through their why. My amazing molecular bio college roomie and sis, Aggie Brojakowska for her emotional, mental, spiritual and brain tickling support throughout college! If you have an amazing roommate who doubles up as your support system – cherish them daily!
My sisters Taylor McCorkle, Alex Manalo and Hannah Lamberto – my rocks since pre-school and middle school, for always pushing boundaries as women of color in athletics, the arts and psychology! My brother, Ethan Butler for introducing me to a side of fitness I had yet to discover and so much more! I am grateful to call these amazing childhood friends my family!
And on that note lemme make a shout out to fellow STEM sista and entertainer Megan Thee Stallion for doing the thang and setting an example you can be a baddie with an education and a bag! Okay!!
In all, having the right people around you, inspirations to know you can and then become the blueprint to show others they can and more – is so crucial to growing your mindset. I put it all in my art and celebrate my gifts from a place of gratitude daily!
The road to getting to where I am today was not easy but created the fire within me, and gave me the tools needed to continually push myself and face the journey ahead!
I have learned many lessons along the way but some of the many major ones would be to build yourself up through self love! Then build those around you. Don’t let anyone or their insecurities deter you from your dreams. Lastly, truly believe you are limitless!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
See now you asked the wrong person lol I moved out here months before the pandemic, we went into quarantine! I took that time to really work on myself and my craft, put myself around people (only when necessary) and have yet to explore this city’s gems. But if you want a good Mexican place to eat, go to Macho Taco, brunch at either Breakfast Republic or WEHO Bistro, bomb bread from Craig’s (it’ll have you questioning room for dinner); Visit Malibu for breathtaking views and amazing golden hour selfies! If you want a great fitness trainer to kick your butt or someone to groove and grow from, come to me (shameless plug)!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to the Lord first and foremost! My mother, stepfather and amazingly supportive family, my MTA fam, Kim Mantsur and my VitalMoov crew, my TLC family – Auntie T, Mamma C et. al! Tia Rivera and Adrian Wiltshire! All my friends/ fam and supportive followers who have become friends via my Instagram and TikTok over the pandemic and beyond!
