We had the good fortune of connecting with Rit$y and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rit$y, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
I feel that always being prepared has helped me a lot. Always having beats and songs ready to be played whenever I am in a room with important people seems to have always worked for me. Always be PREPARED.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well my name is rit$y I am from South Gate, CA I am a artist and producer. For the most part I think that is what sets me apart the most. The fact that I can produce my beat and get on it right away without having to wait for anyone. I think that’s a huge advantage. I am able to cater my beat to my voice. I think I’ve gotten to where I am today by simply staying myself and not changing around anyone. That’s the most important thing I’ve ever done, that way I don’t have to worry It’s always easy being myself. The lessons I’ve learned is to always be patient man for real. That’s the most important one. I would preach that to every upcoming artist. Be patient, stay focused, and everything well set in just how it needs to happen. I want the world to know that I feel your joy, your pain , and every possible emotion that you feel. I’m not any different from anyone and I feel a single click of my music well make your days better.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I looooooove to eat despite me being so skinny, so I think we would head out to grab a bite somewhere around the city. Depending on what were craving but you can never go wrong with a Zogo’s burger that’s like a South Gate landmark in my opinion. After grabbing a burger well probably hit the studio and work on some music. Most if not all my friends make music or create in some sort of way so going to the studio is always a vibe and a good time.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yeah theres a lot people that I have to thank for not giving up on me. They have always supported me days ones. First and foremost Ardi, he has always kept his advice and doors open LITERALLY haha. I have a key to his apartment for whenever I feel like I need to get away from reality and just hideout and work on my craft. Also Angel Osorio (photographer) we got introduced by a mutual friend and he has always had my back since we meet. He is the man behind my sick pictures on my Instagram. Another person is Mihton my good friend from my city. He has always introduced me to the right people and has always made sure my head stays put on. Last but not least Chris Orr (videographer) since we met he has been the man responsible for capturing all the sick videos we put out! without this team I don’t think I would be as far in as I think I am.
