Meet Sam Jordan: Founder + President, EnviTours

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sam Jordan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sam, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Philanthropy and community service are built into the ethos of EnviTours. For every EnviTours hosted trip or event, we partner with a local non-profit to give back to the communities that welcome us.
In Los Angeles, we have partnered with Dreamers Youth and the Melo-Rodriguez Foundation to provide free meals to those in need. EnviTours also hosts an annual toy and supply drive around the holiday season to benefit the Children’s Hospital LA as well as other Southern California homeless and youth shelters.
We have amazing on-the-ground partners around the world, in places such as Bali, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and Belize. We proudly support and volunteer with these organizations when visiting their communities. Our travel experiences will always offer the opportunity to volunteer and make an impact in the local community that the traveler is visiting.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
EnviTours is a luxury travel and tour operator. We curate unique trips for private group travel and offer fully built-out itineraries for individuals or groups. One of the things that sets us apart is our focus on philanthropy and community engagement. We partner with non-profit organizations in every destination we offer trips to. Tour participants can spend a day volunteering with the organization or just learning about the issues facing different communities around the world. We also donate a portion of the proceeds from the trip to supporting the communityies we visit.
I’m proud of all the amazing volunteer work and community support we’ve been able to do at home and around the world. Globally, EnviTours has a sponsored the building of a school in Bali, refurbished community centers in Jamaica and Puerto Rico, fed families during the holidays in Canada, and donated much-needed supplies to indigenous communities in Belize.
I’m most excited about the future of travel and EnviTours’ role in that. EnviTours officially launched just a few months before the COVID pandemic and global travel came to a halt. Since then, we’ve had to adapt and add in different elements of our business that we may not have implemented this early. This includes more local initiatives and givebacks, tours and events around the US, and our EnviTours clothing and accessories line. As the world opens back up, we’re ready to lead the way for global voluntourism.
EnviTours is a lifestyle, beyond travel its culture, culinary experiences, community service, and fashion. I want the share the Envi way of life with the world.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
LA has so much to offer and there are so many different ways to see and experience it. Here is the Envi way, and my personal favorite spots and activities:
Where to Eat and Drink: Olivetta, with a new location around the pool and the rooftop of the Kimpton La Peer Hotel, Olivetta is the hot spot for dinner and drinks in LA.
Unique Activities: A private propeller plane ride for two over the Hollywood Hills and out to Santa Monica Pier with Luxair Aviation.
For the Sports Fanatic: Check out the Los Angeles Rams or Chargers from the new SoFi Stadium. The 2021 season will be the first with fans in attendance. If you aren’t visiting during football season, we can schedule a private tour and lunch in the stadium.
The Great Outdoors: LA has countless hiking and biking trails. I recommend the Malibu Canyon trails for beautiful scenery, fresh air, and fewer crowds.
Shop ‘Till You Drop: Shopping in LA ranges from homemade goods and clothing to the finest designers in the world. For those looking for under the radar smaller designers, thrift, or vintage I recommend the Melrose Trading Post and surrounding stores. For designer clothing without the crowds of Rodeo Dr., I’m taking you to Maxfield, Dover Street Market, and the Webster.
For my LA friends that want to switch it up and do something different I’m directing them to the EnviTours Wellness Package, this is a weekend organized by EnviTours that focuses on health, mindfulness, and relaxation. It includes massage therapies, gourmet cooking, wine tasting, and much more.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to give a shoutout to my family and team. I have a great group of people around me that are my closest family, friends, and loved ones. We all motivate each other, hold each other accountable, and are there to help each other build our own businesses and success.
