We had the good fortune of connecting with Samantha Firestone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Samantha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
LEUXE was born from my desire to create the quality pieces I wanted and needed in my own closet. The versatile style staples that make getting dressed easy because they fit and feel just right, are elegant enough to be worn on their own or layered and can effortlessly be paired with anything..

The LELUXE mission is to redefine the classics. Gorgeous flattering silhouettes, bespoke fabrics with beautiful drape. And always exquisite details so the clothes look as good as they feel.

It has been such an incredibly fun and fulfilling ride to turn this concept into reality

What should our readers know about your business?
Launching a fashion brand has been a true rollercoaster of highs and lows. The ability to pivot quickly while holding firm to our brand ethos has been one of the most important skills I have honed.

For LELUXE that means staying true to our commitment to ethically produce only the highest quality pieces locally in Los Angeles while also keeping the importance of sustainability in the forefront of our brand values.

We have done this by investing in only the most luxe fabrics, spending countless hours on perfecting the “just right” silhouettes, utilizing deadstock materials (whenever possible) in small production runs, partnering with local factories and suppliers that provide us full transparency and allow us to be a part of their process and always, always, always paying attention to the details.

The learning curve is constant but as long as I remain ready to pivot and put both the quality of our garments and the quality of our choices ahead of a quick profit I believe we will continue to flourish and grow.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite thing about LA is the versatility of the experiences available. A week in LA with my out of town BFF would have to reflect that and also be completely indulgent as it’s so rare to be able to slow down and take time with those we love.

An afternoon with Martha at Surya Spa followed by sunset cocktails on the rooftop of the Proper Hotel

Something touristy like hiking near the Hollywood Sign, lunch at Great White in Larchmont and checking out new styles at Just One Eye

A low key day in the Palisades breakfast at Cafe Vida, matcha from Alfred in the village, drooling over Jaimie Geller’s jewels and wandering the bluffs.

And couldn’t miss my favorites Million Dollar Smoothie @ Sun Life Organics, Banana Bread @ Erewhon, Polenta Mushrooms @ Giorgio Baldi, Insalata Angelini @ Angelini Palisades, Greek Salad & Avra Chips @ Avra Beverly Hills, Cowgirl Pie @ Winston Pies and A LOT of long winding conversations, rose and martinis

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Leslie Gifford has been an incredibly generous mentor, friend and sounding board as I have worked to turn my vision into reality.
