We had the good fortune of connecting with VeeAlwaysHere and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi VeeAlwaysHere, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always wanted to make music ever since I could remember. Music was my personal escape. A great song could get me through anything: help me feel more confident when I needed it most; realize that I’m not alone or simply sing along to something that’s been on my mind, but I never said out loud. I’ve always known that I want to make music that helped people in the way music has always helped me. Just honest, raw and sometimes ignorant too.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My debut album “NO ROLE MODEL” is coming out on March 26th. The amount of work I’ve put into this project is incomparable to anything else I’ve ever done so far in my career. So many sleepless nights, honest conversations and it’s been an incredibly humbling process. Stripping everything I think or know about myself and telling honest stories from my life and the lives of people that surround me every day. I’ve always wanted to make music that helps people get through their personal challenges. Just hearing someone talk about it in a song makes it easier, helps you understand that you’re not alone – that’s what music has always been for me, and I’m so honored to be just that for all of my listeners.
I produce, write, record and mix all of my music by myself. I’ve never sat around and waited for anyone’s help. Somehow, I’ve always known that if I wanted to make it happen, I had to go and create these opportunities for myself. It is truly an incredible feeling when you start with absolutely nothing and make a song, build an entire world from scratch.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My number one favorite spot is QUARTERS in K-town. Hands down, the best Korean BBQ! Before COVID, I took all of my friends there all the time! Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Literally everyone! There are so many great people in my life who have supported me every single step of the way. They’re all my family and it’s just more enjoyable to go after my dreams knowing that they’re by my side.
