We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabe aka Cutie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabe aka Cutie, how do you think about risk?
Taking risk is something pivotal in life. I always believe in taking that leap for your dreams and goals. I know for myself I’m the type of person that hates to stay stagnant in life. I have a plan, I try my hardest to execute the plan, and I find something else to do to make my plan better. The creation of my brand “Keep’n It G” is because I took a risk. I was being told my whole life that I should do something online and I never had the courage until I got into a argument with my family about my sexuality and I just got fed up and said “you know what I want to express how I feel to see if I’m not the only one”. I created that first video and it was up from there. Now going on two years in July, not only has my youtube channel expanded but that one risk opened doors for me to grow as a person as well.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Keep’n It G is a media platform where you can catch all of your latest gossip and news on reality tv and entertainment. You also get to dive into the life of Gabe aka Cutie as well during some video’s as he discusses his sexuality, family issues, fun cooking shows etc. My brand is that I am “here to bring the light in this dark a** world” and that is exactly what I do. I bring the news that may be drama filled and can get someone angry, I would bring my way of letting you know what’s going on with a switch of snarky remarks. The growth of my brand certainly wasnt easy simply because, it’s still going and it’s going to continue grow. When I first started back in July 2019 I didn’t know what I was doing, how to edit a video, how to speak to a camera when there’s no one there, and it showed. I had to do a lot of research on other media personalities, and Youtubers, I took my course with Legendary Media Group, and I decided “look if this is what you want to do for the rest of your life you gotta start somewhere.” Fast forward now I have over 1k followers, working in three different platforms, while also managing my own. Especially when you don’t have a strong support system with family, it gets trying to give yourself the support to keep going, but you got to in order to get to your promise, AND I WILL GET TO MY PROMISE PERIOD! I’m learning everyday about my growth and my brand but one lesson that I take every day is believe. Believe that anything you want is already yours, believe that if you want it happen it will, believe that if you manifest your blessing with your mouth IT WILL HAPPEN. If I didn’t have the spirit of believing in not only myself but higher power I would still be doing the same things, being angry at everyone else because they’re living the dreams they wanted however here I am…STUCK.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would hope that my best friend is going to come in the spring or summer because we will be going going straight to Asbury Park which is considered as “The Jersey Shore”. I live 10 minutes away from the beach so we would visit there have a beach day. I would show them around Cookman ave which is considered our “downtown” and we can go to a restaurant, a bar, visit an art gallery or even go bowling. Then during the middle of the week we would have to make a drive down to Atlantic City to do a little gambling and hit Wet Willies. We can go to Six Flags if they want ( I wont be riding any rides because that’s not what Cutie does) but we can still go. We can go to the real Jersey Shore which is Seaside Heights and go on the boardwalk, play some games, eat some food, great times. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To grow you need a family and team behind you to help guide, and grow with you through your journey and I will say for sure that is my Legendary Media Group family. Back in March/early April 2020 I got in contact with amazing media host, DJ, and now one out of the three co-host of Jason Lee’s Hollywood Unlocked Uncensored DJ Damage. He told me he was doing this course that helps aspiring host in media like myself teaching us ways and things to do to grow in the industry. During that time it was during the pandemic, I was just put on furlough and I was able to really focus on my passion so I thought to myself “if you think this isn’t the universe telling me to go forward and do what you love then your stupid lol”. As soon as he explained what he has I joined the class and when I did I was welcomed with other like minded individuals like myself that is growing in the industry and doing what we love to do. Fast forward a year later we are still meeting every Sunday discussing our work and still getting gems from our mentor Dj Damage. DJ Damage also saw my talent and drive and opened so many doors for me such as joining him on a new show called “Lunch Hour” that popular media outlet Blavity started and me and my other Media Group friend Daija were able to have our own segment called “Lunchroom Announcements” where we discussed everything in entertainment and media. If I didn’t take that leap and step to say yes and starting that course I don’t know where I would be today.
