We had the good fortune of connecting with Sara Eigsti and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sara, how does your business help the community?
I think that the business of aesthetics often times gets a stereotype for being superficial and frowned upon for trying to “change yourself”. I really want to shed light on how important self esteem and confidence is to mental health and the community. I also think it is important to have injectors out there who truly care about their patients, where expectations of treatments are always managed professionally and honesty is always the priority. Creating a safe space with moral integrity as the center that is focused on boosting confidence and health, and educating patients on safe and effective ways to address both corrective and preventative concerns has a positive impact on the community and world. People who feel good about themselves are able to serve others better and have a more positive impact on the world, and that is the ultimate goal. Leave patients feeling refreshed and smiling more.

Please tell us more about your career. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I got into the aesthetic nursing field at a very young age as it was my first job straight out of nursing school. I started with a plastic surgeon in the OR/PACU at a private practice and was cross trained into injectables. I soon realized that was my passion and became obsessed with knowing as much as I could about facial anatomy, injection techniques, and how to deliver the safest and best results to patients. There is something really special about being able to improve someone’s confidence. One thing I am very proud of was making a big move to Los Angeles to pursue my career further. I started from square one to build my clientele and social media in a new city. There have absolutely been challenges and I think the biggest lessons I have learned are to always stay true to yourself, and to trust your gut when people or environments don’t feel like a good fit. When you follow your heart and morals, you will end up where you belong. I think what sets me apart from others is my steadfast commitment to keeping patients looking natural and having their best long term interest in mind. Unfortunately, it is very common in this industry for people to become money hungry and do procedures just for the financial benefit even if it is not best for the patient or they don’t know the procedure well. I spend a lot of my time educating patients and correcting work from other providers. I will always suggest what is best for my patient, even when it is telling them no or referring them to a place that has the tools for their unique need. My brand always prioritizes full facial balancing and a holistic approach that maintains a natural, yet impactful result.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There is so much to do in LA this is a hard question. I would definitely take my friend to hike Griffith Observatory, specifically at sunset because the view is beautiful. My favorite beaches to visit would be Hermosa and Malibu and that would definitely be on my list of places to go. Ospi in Venice is currently my favorite restaurant and I have yet to have a food/drink item I don’t love there. I would also spend a morning visiting Maru to get the matcha/sweet cream and Cafe Los Feliz after for the best breakfast burrito and waffles in LA. One of the most special things about Los Angeles, in my opinion, is the ability to experience so many different environments and cultures by just driving 20-30 minutes into another city. I think it would be fun to drive down the PCH (not during rush hour lol) and take in the view and visit different beaches. If they wanted to experience LA night life, I love going out in West Hollywood and Beverly Hills and would definitely visit Barney’s Beanery prior to hitting some other fun bars/clubs if we were going for a night out in LA.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost my mom has been my role model my entire life and taught me what it means to be both a loving and kind person, while also being a boss in the workforce and working hard to achieve your dreams. Words can’t describe what a pertinent role she has played in my life and successes. She has been my cheerleader since day one and cheered me on throughout nursing school, and has always encouraged and supported me in the pursuit of my dreams. She is the first one I call with exciting news, and the first person I call if I am having a bad day. I watched her earn her PhD while also having three kids, while also taking care of herself and our family. She truly does it all and I aspire to be at least half the woman she is someday.

I would also like to give a shoutout to two of my mentors in the industry, Neekan Rivera and Pawnta Abrahimi. Both of them took me under their wings when I moved to LA and have supported my growth and education immensely. I work for Neekan at her company, Aere Aesthetics, and she has helped me completely transform my skillset, patient evaluation, and full facial results as well as supported me in becoming a trainer myself. I would not be the injector I am today without her guidance, kindness and support. Pawnta works with me at Motykie Med Spa, and has also always been my mentor as she takes on celebrity clients everyday with grace and no ego, and is always willing to help and teach a new technique. Pawnta is someone who mentions your name in a room full of opportunity and she has always been a support system and someone I look up to. She has incredible skill while maintaining character which is so rare, especially in this industry. I am so thankful for her guidance in my career, and her friendship.
