We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Vega and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sarah, we’d love to hear about a book that’s had an impact on you.
Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyers. If you can get past the christian overtones, It is a great example of how you can be your own worst enemy by how you speak to yourself, how you don’t do the shadow work and how you think. This book has helped me build up my resilience.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Nothing was easy and I hope no one in media sells the narrative that entrepreneurship is light work. My latest venture is Lujo Wellness. It is my holistic dental care line that I have perfected over the course of 18 years and decided to sell one day on instagram. Selling healthy teeth is not as easy as people might think, However, because of my previous business ventures and online presence I have built a reputation of being honest and that is what has helped me. I overcame the challenges by again, trusting God and trusting myself. Making sure my core believes and speech reflected what I wanted to see.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This depends the city you’re talking about. No matter where I go, or where I land, I never take anyone anywhere that is popular. it is my rule. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shout out is to Kalisha Carmichael of BossBlend Coffee out of Newark, New Jersey. She is a single mom of 3 kids who started her coffee brand and is my entrepreneur bestie. We have several conversations throughout the day about work and how we are maintaining our businesses. It is always important to have a entrepreneur friends you can trust.
