Meet Shannon Swallow | Founder & Director, Clairity School

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shannon Swallow and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shannon, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
As a spiritual teacher, I find inspiration in those who are truly connected to their spirit. For me, spirit and creativity are are synonymous. Spirit is the source of our highest creative energy and when we tap into that, we bring out our brightest light and deepest passion for life.
It’s no coincidence that people aligned with their spirit are following their own unique path. They’ve learned to separate from the group, no longer seeking validation or permission from family, friends, or colleagues. Instead, they pursue their own vision with a sense of autonomy and freedom.
But freedom isn’t always easy. While many say they crave it, most prefer the comfort of familiarity, where life feels predictable. It can be daunting to face the unknown without a clear roadmap.
That’s why those who embrace their spirit are so inspiring. They’re not just following a path; they’re creating their own destiny and setting the tone for their life. It takes courage, trust, and a willingness to take big risks. In doing so, they become true creators and leaders.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m a spiritual teacher and the founder of Clairity School, a community dedicated to energy awareness, intuition, and personal development. For the past 20 years, I’ve also maintained a private practice offering readings, healings, and programs that harnesses the power of intuition to create transformation. To date, I’ve helped thousands of students and clients worldwide transform on their spiritual and healing journeys.
My path to this work wasn’t quick or straightforward. I grew up in a high-achieving, Type-A family that valued success, climbing the career ladder, and hard work. I thrived in that environment—it felt rewarding to earn recognition, bigger titles, and higher salaries. It made sense to me at the time, and I enjoyed it.
But everything shifted in my early 30s when I was at the height of that life. Although I’d had psychic experiences since childhood, they began to intensify during that period, which led me to join an intuitive school. That decision became a catalyst for profound transformation over the next 10 years. While I didn’t leave my corporate career right away, I was deeply immersed in inner work that changed how I viewed myself and the world around me. I began to value things like the mind-body-spirit connection, self-care, inner wisdom, and the desire to help others.
Eventually, I realized I could no longer tolerate the corporate world. I felt a calling to help others heal and discover the power of intuition as a tool for growth and transformation. Ten years ago, I took the leap, dedicating myself fully to this path. I launched Clairity School and committed all my time to my practice.
Interestingly, many of the people I attract have lived a life similar to mine. I think it’s because I’ve had a foot in both worlds—I’m relatable because I’ve walked that path, and it’s still a part of me. It’s important for people to understand that energy and psychic work don’t have to be “woo-woo” or out of reach. They can learn practical tools and techniques to connect with their intuition and spirit in ways that genuinely enhances and adds value to their everyday lives.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Los Angeles is full of diversity, and I love exploring its different neighborhoods. Both the West and East sides have their charms, but I’m happiest anywhere near the beach. My ideal West Side day would include coastal stops from Venice to Malibu. I’d start with a hike in Topanga, followed by brunch at the Inn of the Seventh Ray, Cafe Mimosa or Endless Color. Then, I’d head to El Matador Beach for the amazing beauty and ocean views before making my way down to Venice to enjoy the boardwalk, along with the shops and sights on Abbot Kinney. I’d wrap up the day with dinner at Via Veneto—my longtime favorite, despite all the new dining spots. If I leave the West side, must-do stops include decompressing at Wi Spa, catching interesting exhibits at LACMA and Japan House LA, or enjoying Jazz Sundays at The Mint for live music. And for great people-watching, you can’t go wrong in Silverlake or Los Feliz, especially at Erewhon or one of the many cozy coffee shops.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to the teachers at Clairity School who believed in what I was creating right from the start. When I first decided to launch my intuitive school several years ago, my plan was to go it alone—keeping things small and going slow. But then an incredible group of teachers came forward asking to be a part of it. Their enthusiasm took the school in an entirely unexpected direction, bringing more joy, learning, and growth than I could have ever imagined. I’m deeply grateful to be on this journey with such caring and supportive, like-minded individuals. They are truly a gift.
I also want to take a moment to thank my family. My mom, dad, and sister have been unwavering in their support of this wild yet magical journey. I feel so loved by them, and they are deeply loved in return.
