Hi Shawneequa, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I’m deeply inspired by witnessing the success of others, especially when I can play a role in it. Working with sellers and buyers in real estate, I’ve seen how our efforts can change the financial trajectory of our clients’ families. It’s a privilege to be part of such transformative moments. Helping people achieve their dreams of homeownership or improve their financial stability fuels my passion for making a positive impact.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to nurturing relationships with my clients. I prioritize understanding their needs and aspirations on a deeply personal level, which allows myself or my team to tailor our services to exceed their expectations.

What I’m most proud of is the team I’ve built and the positive impact we’ve had on our clients’ lives. Witnessing their success stories and being a part of their journey towards achieving their goals fills me with immense pride and joy.

Getting to where we are today hasn’t been easy. We’ve faced our fair share of challenges, but each obstacle has served as an opportunity for growth and learning. We’ve overcome these challenges through resilience, adaptability, and a steadfast belief in our mission.

The lessons I’ve learned along the way are invaluable. I’ve learned the importance of perseverance, empathy, and continuous innovation. I’ve also come to understand the power of building strong relationships and fostering a culture of collaboration and trust within our team and in our industry.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

If I were to introduce my best friend to the vibrant neighborhoods often dubbed “The Black Beverly Hills” in Los Angeles, I would ensure they experience the rich culture, history, and culinary delights that these areas have to offer. If I had a week to explore the best of Leimert Park, Baldwin Hills, Ladera Heights, Windsor Hills, and View Park I’d certainly have a wide range from great restaurants to museums.

Day 1: Leimert Park

Explore the cultural hub of Leimert Park Village, browsing through unique shops, galleries, and boutiques. Enjoy dinner at Ackee Bamboo, where Caribbean flavors come to life in dishes like jerk chicken and curry goat.

Day 2: Baldwin Hills

Have brunch at Post & Beam, a restaurant in Baldwin Hills serving up modern Southern cuisine with a California twist.

Day 3: View Park – Windsor Hills

Start the day with a late but hearty breakfast at the Serving Spoon.
Day 4: Exploration

Have lunch at Harold & Belle’s, a beloved Creole restaurant in Jefferson Park, known for its authentic Louisiana cuisine. Spend the day immersing ourselves in the rich cultural heritage of the Black community, with visits to museums such as the California African American Museum and the Museum of African American Art.

My daughter is my greatest inspiration. Her boldness and brilliance know no bounds, and she sees no ceilings, only endless possibilities. She gives me a sense of purpose like no other.
