We had the good fortune of connecting with Sherry Greer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sherry, what makes you happy? Why?
Being able to look in the mirror every morning and seeing the reflection that I want to see makes me happy.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I believe what sets me apart from others is my sincerety. When I speak with others I am genuinely into what they are saying and give them my full attention. In today’s society there are so many distractions and it’s so important to give someone your uninterrupted attention. I am most proud of being able to look into a mirror and love the reflection I see. So many people, and I was one of them, do not love themselves but I do. Some might think that is a selfish statement but I believe you must love yourself before you can truly love someone else.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well… I live in Cleveland, Ohio and it is definitely not “The mistake on the lake” anymore! Cleveland is beautiful especially during the summer. If I had a friend coming in for a few days I would start by getting up early to take a walk or run at one of the metro parks, I love the Edgewater Beach area, we could go to the Cleveland sign there for a few pictures and see the sun rise from across the lake. We could then go to brunch at Grumpy’s Cafe in the Tremont neighborhood. The proportions are huge and the people there are wonderful. After brunch we could visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Science Museum and relax for a while at Voinevich Park. If time we could always visit the Arcade and check out the fabulous architecture or visit the stores around Public Square or the Westside Market. The amount of live music around the city is amazing and I would suggest getting glammed up for the evening and dancing the night away!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There has been a few people that I really can call a friend but one in particular stands out, her name is Kandi. Kandi has helped me more than any other person I know. She has opened a few doors for me that I wouldn’t have access to and honestly didn’t even know existed if she didn’t tell me. Many other individuals that I have worked with are because of her hard work. I owe more to her and am grateful for the love that she has given.
