We had the good fortune of connecting with Sibtain Raza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sibtain, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I’ve always had a knack for making people laugh, so I figured, why not make a career out of it instead of sitting behind a computer desk for the rest of my life. You only get one life. And let’s be honest, what’s better than making a room full of people laugh, except maybe motherhood.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m known for constantly pushing boundaries, I’ve found a happy medium through my comedy to express my upbringing by my traditional politically incorrect Pakistani parents in today’s politically charged climate. My comedy uniquely encompasses a blend of wit, storytelling, unexpected twists & turns, sprinkle of absurdity and perfect blend of East meets West as I learn how difficult it is to raise immigrant parents as an American.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My friend and I are big into working out and diet. We’d start with gym first thing in the morning at 5a.

Followed by a chocolate, peanut butter banana smoothie and then we’d start work at 6a because this gives me a 4-6 hrs head start of most other comics. And I’m a firm believer in being on top of your game at all times so if you’re not working while your competition is sleeping, you’ll never get ahead.

We’d skip lunch and as we wrap up securing all deals available by 2p.

After that we’d do some MMA/Boxing training or then hit up the hiking trail and I’d cook us up some steaks, fish tacos, omelets, burritos or my signature dish: Cashew Shrimp Fried Rice.

Then we’d go to one of my shows at either a private party, corporate party, local venues or comedy clubs.

Come home, repeat except we’d definitely play FIFA on PS5 and most definitely throw in some deep-sea fishing at some point in the week. It may seem like a boring trip to some and we definitely aren’t very touristy people, but we know exactly how to have fun and anyone who ever joins us, ALWAYS has a good time! 🙂

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m very headstrong. I don’t seek outside approval other than the laughter from my audience. I’m my biggest fan and my harshest critic to ensure I always deliver the very best of me on stage.

However, if I am to ever lose focus on my goals, I’m fortunate to have awesome people in my life who provide unwavering support, offer guidance, and aren’t afraid to show me tough love when necessary to help propel me in all aspects of life.
