We had the good fortune of connecting with Siddhesh Pandey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Siddhesh, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
To start off, honestly I am someone who was mediocore in curricular subjects, I always had a limit to study enough to reach just above the passing line all my school life. I was certain that my career path wouldn’t be something in this area as it never brought the urge to push myself or make me feel that ‘I love what I do.’ The things i always inclined towards Cinema, Music, Acting, Cricket, devotee of art, Reading and writing stories and poems. I was confident enough that slowly with time my choices will narrow down which came up to Filmmaking, Photography, Writing and Art. I believe experiencing and accepting all opportunities led me through my likes and dislikes for my career choice. Keep on trying and finding your actual desires.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a 20 year old filmmaking Undergrad student in the New York Film Academy Los Angeles. My career choice is Directing films, Photographer of different genres like Street, Film Fashion and portraits, writing stories and poems and being an adamant lover of paintings and other forms of visual art. There a lot of things I’m awaiting for people to see, Majorly my first independent project documentary film which will be out this year, it revolves around the lives of the unsung heroes of Mumbai. It acknowledges and informs the viewers about their hard work and show the reality of their job and lifestyle from their own prospect. It focuses on a particular job being unconventional and atypical for most of us. It features interviews and distressing visuals, facts and stories spoken out. I’ve frequently doing a bunch of photoshoots and videos in and around for artists and professionals. Awaiting everything that’s set for me in the coming years.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Calling myself a faithful situationist, I believe that situations which we get to be a part of intentionally or vice versa provides us a learning about our own selves and others around it. If asked to give a shoutout I would particularly give it to the situations I have dealt in alone or with all the support I was given by others. Situations and are my mentor and all the people who go through it well enough are my encouragements.
