We had the good fortune of connecting with Simone Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Simone, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
You’re allowed to change your mind. Simple as that. They’ll adjust.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Ever since high school I loved the idea of being on a college campus. I used to go on random campus tours around LA just for fun and the idea that you could create your own identity as a young college student excited me.
That love for education and self-expression led me to a career in student affairs. Now I help students find their passion and navigate college just like mentors did for me. But it wasn’t until grad school that I realized some of these “fantasies” of college didn’t exist in the real world. Becoming an adult was hard and I wanted to document the journey.
So I created The Fab Grad. My perfect blend of sharing the reality of life and work. My hope is to be an inspiration to those who desire to build the life they want while having a career they love!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t shoutout my mom and aunt Kathe. They push me to go after my big dreams and cheer me on the entire way. I dedicate this shoutout to them.
