We had the good fortune of connecting with Dawnique Chapman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dawnique, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I am from Los Angeles California and I remember my father and aunts who were entrepreneurs who worked for themselves. My mother remember me saying as a child in elementary that I wanted to work for myself and become an entrepreneur and teacher. I am keeping that promise to myself building my own business to one day become my own boss.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been working in the education and social service field for over for over 8 years. I have experience working different positions as a teacher, family service worker, and social worker that has shaped me into the professional that I am today. I have learned a lot about human behavior and working with people. It has not been easy and I have failed but I have leaned from the failure. I say if you leaned from it then it’s not a failure. I have always chosen a career that I am passionate about and money has never been my primary source. I want the world to know about my brand that I am creating a business with a lot of heart. My goal is to always serve with compassion.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite hang out is the Burke Williams Spa. I love to eat at California Pizza Kitchen . I also like to try new food spots so I am open to trying any new restaurant. Also I love karaoke so when things open up I will be there. Oh I love museums as well, my next trip is the Malibu Getty.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have friends , family and Colleagues who I want to give a shout out to keep going no matter what.
