We had the good fortune of connecting with Slim and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Slim, what role has risk played in your life or career?
One of my favorite quotes is “He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life” by Muhammad Ali. Always believe in yourself and just go for it. There’s only two outcomes you become successful or you have an experience learning experience, those odds are not bad.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
JMO Radio Show is located in Las Vegas, is one of the most authentic, transparent, real, raw, and uncut radio shows to have come out of Las Vegas. I bring you nothing but real, live interviews with your favorite music artists, entrepreneurs, CEO’s, and everyday people while playing the best of underground Rap and R&B.

My guests are free to be themselves and express their true opinion, I allow everyone to get into their zones of comfort and welcome with open arms. On JMO the guests and I play games like “Stop or Go”, “Who you tappin”, “Make MiMi laugh” and “This or that” that further makes the show a fun time for everyone including the audience.

I have Giveback Thursdays 1-2 times a month were I interview guests for free that’s one of the ways I give back to the indie artist community. I’m originally from Stockton, California the great 209, I been living in Las Vegas for the past 12 years. I used to be a Rap artist and run my own independent label so I know what’s it like not catching a break in the industry so I try to present many opportunities to artists that take their craft seriously. I’m like that big sister to some people because everything I do is genuine and when the love is real people know.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Come on now this is Vegas, it’s always something to do out here.
