We had the good fortune of connecting with SNVPS and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi SNVPS, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process to starting my own business was simply the idea to own something that I can watch grow. Coming up I would hear the phrase ‘self made’ thrown around a lot, to me it meant having a business or a concrete foundation to which one can build something from. My goal is to help my community by opening a youth center to help kids tap into their motivation and have them explore what drives them then help the youth with internships and find them jobs in fields that they want to be in. As an entrepreneur my community means a lot, I came up from the hood so I know there are some struggles that exist still today with the youth and disconnect that happens when we are not guided or motivated properly. I believe I can help build something that can influence the next generation, this is why I hustle every day, it’s not just for me it’s for those after me they gotta see beyond of what’s been put in front of them. My work or business is just a stepping stone to something greater.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art as a photographer stems from graffiti, I try to give people an experience when we link up and work, it’s all about the vibe and not overworking. As a street photographer I want to help the subject express themselves and let go, so it’s like we’re doing a graffiti piece together they bring the color and I outline the letters for them, that’s how I see it. I’m excited to see how far I’ve came and how much more I have to go. It wasn’t easy that’s for sure, I’ve had some obstacles and still do but I make it work, there’s always a way and if not then i make a way, you should too never let anyone or anything put your flame out.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m not really that guy, I’d have to check trip advisor for that one haha. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I came up with an idea, but without any of my supporters and people who believe in me nothing is possible I couldn’t have done it without my family and friends they all know who they are. I want to shout out all my teachers from school and the streets both of which help shaped me to who I am and how I move. I appreciate everyone old and new that has come into my life, and those I will encounter soon. Blessings on blessings!
