Meet Soul Mobb Inc. Hip-Hop Group | Hip-Hop Group from Riverside, California

We had the good fortune of connecting with Soul Mobb Inc. Hip-Hop Group and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Soul Mobb Inc., what role has risk played in your life or career?
We find that risks forces the individual to do better than they would have without it. Having something to lose makes you want to work 10 times harder. For us, the risk of failing and not living up to the expectations people have set for us is what drives us to do better and be better than we think we could be.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Soul Mobb Inc. is a group of talented indvisuals who came together for the same goal of expressing ourselves through music, photography, short films, and other creative outlets. The group consist of 5 members in total. Soulmobbdon, Soulmobbbza, Soulmobbace, Soulmobbvntge, and Ladysmandan. Each member plays they’re own role in the group to further everyone as a whole. Don and Bza handle the rapping and singing and are the faces when they do shows. Bza and Ace handle the musical production for each song. Vntge is our drummer for when we do our live shows. Ladysmandan helps with designs and helps host our meetings. Don handles the business side of everything the group does and sets the dates that we all go by. And for our creative team we all collaborate on ideas to make the process go smoother. Majority of us grew up all together in Riverside, California. In being brothers regardless of music, things may not always be as easy. We see each other every weekend *and some days during the week* and we work as hard as we can with little days taken off. We learned that trust and loyalty is big in this business and to not trust every person we have come in contact with. We work so we can show the world that if you have a true passion and talent for something and you give it your all, then there is no limit to what you can conquer.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If someone wanted to come to Riverside and asked us what we do for fun and places to go, we can take them to a good amount of spots. For food, we would take them to the FoodLab in Downtown Riverside and go to this place called “Baba’s Chicken”. They sell chicken sandwiches with your choice of heat levels. Super good, hands down. If they needed clothes or just wanted to go shopping, we have to go by Tyler Mall by the freeway and walk around and chill. If its late and wanna see the overview of the cities around the are, we can go to what locals call over here “The View”. Its a street on a mountain that overlook a majority of the IE. Every year for Christmas the city throws a big event called “The Festival of Lights” where they wrap 90% of downtown in lights with Christmas horses giving people rides and just a happy place to be at the moment.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition? We have a few people we’d love to give our shoutouts too. Nah’Shon from Riverside is our mentor and showed us so much love when we had nobody. He took us in under his wing when we were 16 and showed us how it feels to have a musical family. We also have to give a shout out too two major groups for us, Odd Future and Wu-Tang Clan. They taught us that we did not have to sound like everyone else and how to keep the brotherhood among us. And we’d like to give a shoutout to Rif-Raf for being our big brother and seeing our music for what it was and helping us understand the music industry more by giving us so much game.
