We had the good fortune of connecting with Steve Staley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Steve, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Seeking out professionals in my field for advice and then… TAKING the advice.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Been an actor since I was a kid. Didn’t really decide to move from CO to CA until the end of High School, arranging to transfer to Chapman University from the University of Colorado.
Continuing to study and meet people after graduation, building a careen in voice over was really one step at a time. At the time it felt like I was getting nowhere, but in hindsight I realize it was all just adding up. The key was in constant forward motion, making a long and short term career concept and sticking to the plan.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Love taking guests up Woodrow Wilson Dr off of Cahuenga West to the lookout spots. One overlooking the Hollywood Bowl, the other, the Valley. A winding drive through the Hollywood Hills to follow is usually fun and interesting to visitors. Lunch at Bob’s Big Boy after is perfect. Showing friends where the Beetles sat!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There were individuals who were key in recommending me to others: Bridget Hoffman, Mona Marshall, Eric Sherman, to name a few.
