We had the good fortune of connecting with Steven Fowle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Steven, how do you think about risk?

NO RISK, NO REWARD! Risk taking has always been a huge part in my like and career as im always betting on myself. Before stumbling in to vinyl I was a machinist for 10 years in Michigan, then stress out weighed my paycheck, so I packed up my things in my car and drove to califorina to get certified in vinyl.  2,189 miles and 6 years later I could’nt be happier that I took that risk to now be doing something I absolutely love. Its hard sometimes but even the worst day in vinyl is still the best day to be working for myself.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

I’m a graphic installer, a vinyl wrapper, a professional stickerer. I wrap anything and everything from yahts and rvs, to cars and helicopters. I’ve wrapped outside of building and even prosthetic legs for amputees. The possibilities are endless in the customization that I can provide to my clients. My job is never the same, what sets me apart is simple, I care more. and I’m genuine and also not in it for the money. It’s what I enjoy doing, so I always go the extra mile with out even thinking about it because its more than a job. My name is associated with the project/job and the outcome. I got to where I am today by underpromising and over delivering with unparalleled quality in a short time with the ut most proffesionalism I can provide and being dependable when the time is needed. It’s not easy wearing multiple hats as a one man band, but the pay off is absolutely worth it. Staying focused on my goals really helped me overcome alot of the challenges and push me to get to where I am now. I think my biggest lesson was to always go with my gut and not to let others options influence the important choices, and to take your time Dreams shouldnt ever be rushed. My main goal is to put out genuine Quality work that shows I truly care so that I always have a returning customer.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well living here in sunny Southern California we would obviously take a drive to the beach without a doubt, of course my favorite drive is PCH! Then from there I would go show off some of the cool super cars I have gotten to wrap or projects I’m currently working on. We have so much great food here in california but since I’m by the ocean of course I love to indulge in sushi and margartia or two after a long day. Being in the middle of a ton of fun out here is great when you have the free time as there is endless things to do or see here!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I could have never done all of this without my support system who are my parents! My mom never left myside even miles away we talk often, and My late father teaching me the work ethic is have today. With growing up seeing my dad be self employed encouraged me to also do that for myself. My partner who I met at the start of it in all here in california who has spent many countless late nights with me. And last but not least ME who worked the long hours, holidays and endless nights to make the dreams I want a reality!
