Meet Steven Wong | Foodie, Yelper, Content Creator, Philanthropist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Steven Wong and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Steven, how do you think about risk?
Risk taking is a part of life, especially to learn and grow. I think anything in life, if we want to become better and to challenge yourself, you have to take risks. It is only a failure if you give up. Each time I try, I learn something new and I try not to make the same mistake. I push myself to move forward, I am not afraid to try new things, in a way kind of throwing things on the wall to see what sticks.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I like to learn a lot. I am like a sponge, I enjoy absorbing knowledge. I have many interests in life, professionally and personally. I have always been consistent and proactive. My work ethic in any company, job, department, I apply 100% and I give my all, whether it is a small task or a big task. I push myself to new challenges so I can learn more. I try to make my own opportunities when the chance is given. Sometimes in life, we have to make things happen for ourselves given our circumstance. I am a constant fighter for the life that I want to build for myself.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live a bicoastal life from Boston to Los Angeles, two completely different vibes. I usually gear my “tour” to the person depending on what they want to get out of it.
Boston:
Day 1: Explore Cambridge/Harvard Square/MIT – walk the quads, historical and beautiful campus
You have to stop at Mike’s Pastry for cannoli’s. Love Joes Pizza
Day 2: Check out Downtown, Faneuil hall, Quincy Market – so many food vendors to choose from
Stop by Chinatown – Shabu Zen, amazing seabass and meat selection for hotpot
Day 3: Look at the newly developed Seaport District Area. During the holiday season they have holiday markets with different vendors to choose from
Stop by Bartaco and head to F1 Arcade for drinks and if you have the need for speed
Too many activities
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people in my life to thank and support me. When they say it takes a village, it is true. Many people that uplifts and have shared their wisdom with me. I truly am appreciative of everyone that I have crossed paths with, especially when a lesson is involved. I will even add that I have to thank the negative haters, when they comment because that is a force that also drives me. My dedication goes out to my mom who has always taught me about dedication, passion, and always having choices. I want to shoutout my brother who always supports me and brings humor to my life. My dad who taught me perseverance and consistency. My friends for their knowledge and Chester who continues to uplift my craft, and pushes me in the best way possible to always think outside the box and nothing is out of reach.
