Meet Taj Boyd-Blain: Actor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Taj Boyd-Blain and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taj, what role has risk played in your life or career?
It depends on some of the risks because a lot of risks were not worth going for. Some risks I have taken put me in good situations moving forward and some have put me in bad situations but I had to take some of those risks to determine the outcome and what it could possibly lead to. Once the risk was taken I knew right there if I should continue with it or end it but I had to take it to find out.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an actor In the entertainment industry. Determination and consistency sets me apart from others because I am consistently determined to achieve my goals. There was a lot of challenges that I overcame that got me to where I am today . I had to do a lot of jobs when I first started to get my name out there , from high pays to low pays to no pays . But apparently it’s starting to pay off. I overcame the challenges by never giving up and staying consistent by working hard. My quote is Impossible is I’m possible. Stay focused try to keep distractions to a minimum and never give up. Remember impossible is I’m possible.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them downtown to go shopping, bike riding, play basketball, dine out, check out an event like a play or something and go to the gym. We would go eat seafood maybe grab some slurpees and just enjoy the town.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a big shoutout to GOD, who none of this would be possible if it was not for him blessing me with the gifted talents he instilled in me, my mother who is my MOMAGER, my uber, my Lyft, my everything, my granny and siblings who are very supportive of me and have helped us along the way to get to auditions etc..my coaches, special thanks to coach Kamal who is always there when I need him for coaching and auditions, to Miss Lacinda aka phillywonderwoman for always being supportive,  Aikan Entertainment where I began my acting career, to my step dad who said to me ever since I was little that I was going to be the worlds greatest because I knew and would sing all the words to Rick Ross song  Big Meech when I was 3 years old  and my step mom aka mom mom for supporting me and helping out with travel expenses and suits when she was able to, Young Artists Awards for recognizing  talent at a young age and being very supportive to young talent, my PR GTK for all of the events and exposure to help expand my career and to all of the people that supported me and believe in me along my acting journey.
