We had the good fortune of connecting with Talia Boone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Talia, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Over time, I’ve learned the importance of carving out time for myself. I make sure to schedule daily workouts and breaks, like going for a walk, to balance the demands of work. I’m intentional about closing my laptop at a set time each day, allowing myself space to wind down and sleep peacefully.

What should our readers know about your business?
Postal Petals is all about turning flowers into a self-care experience. We offer DIY Bloom Boxes that bring mindfulness, creativity, and relaxation straight to your door; because flowers should do more than just look pretty! What sets us apart? We focus on the emotional wellness of our customers, turning flower arranging into a calming ritual.

The road to where we are now wasn’t all sunshine and roses! Building a business during the pandemic was tough, but every challenge taught me to keep pushing forward and get creative with solutions. I’m super proud of how we’ve grown and how we’re serving customers and corporate clients all across the country.

At the end of the day, I want the world to know that Postal Petals isn’t just about flowers; it’s about taking a moment for yourself, breathing, and enjoying the beauty you create.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Day 1:
We’ll kick off the day with a hike at Los Liones for amazing views of the shore, then head downtown for drinks (and tacos!) at Lost Rooftop Cocktail + Taco Bar. Afterward, we’ll explore the Garment District a bit before finishing the day with dinner and live music at Somerville on Slauson. Think relaxed vibes and amazing food.

Day 2:
Start with brunch at The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker. We’ll linger over bottomless mimosas, soak in the atmosphere, and won’t get home until late in the afternoon. The evening? Pure relaxation—couch, snacks, and binge-watching Love Island, then digging into the messy online discourse.

Day 3:
We’ll start by hitting up the Farmer’s Market to stock up on fresh snacks, then head to Malibu for stunning ocean views. We’ll chill at El Matador Beach, the perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty of the coastline.

Day 4:
To wrap up the trip, we’ll treat ourselves to a relaxing massage at Let’s Relax on Wilshire. Then, we’ll grab a couple bottles of wine, pick up dinner along the way, and head to the Hollywood Bowl—my favorite concert venue in LA—to enjoy a live show under the stars.
