Meet Tammy Le: Co-Founder LoveMade + Director of Communications will.i.am

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tammy Le and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tammy, what principle do you value most?
Integrity and authenticity. Integrity is being your word, being honest and having strong moral values. Having integrity builds trust and strong relationships with people. It builds the brands reputation and how people perceive the company. I think integrity is important in every aspect of your life and business. Authenticity is being true to yourself and your brand. Our company is founded on the idea of always doing what you love and what you are passionate about. We try to empower and inspire people to always be authentic and follow their heart.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
LoveMade is a marketing, events, design and consulting company. My main focus is on marketing and events. Pre-covid I was coordinating 3 event series. FlyGrls with my friend Janessa Molina which is a benefit dance party with all female dancers, DJ’s and artists. For each event we donated a portion of proceeds to different non-profit organizations. Love Made Me Do It was our networking event series for female professionals. And Self Love Lessons I did with Auragami LA. That was my feel good, wellness workshop event series for women. I’m excited to get back to doing events soon since things are finally getting better with Covid. I feel like there’s a need for events like Self Love Lessons because we put a lot of focus on self love and self care which can really help people especially after this pandemic. And although a lot of our events are focused on women, we still encourage and invite everyone to attend.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is a hard one since we have been in lockdown for most of this last year so I’ve barely been out. But for hiking I usually do Griffith park and Eaton Canyon trail, for eating I’d say Bestia, Matsuhisa or Republique. My favorite Shabu place is Joon Shabu in Glendale but I don’t know if they will open back up after Covid. Rooftop bars with views – The Proper Hotel, Broken Shaker at Freehand and Mama Shelter. Museums – The Broad and LACMA. And check out the beaches of course.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to my best friend Linda Nguyen and my mentor will.i.am! Linda and I have been best friends since middle school and we’ve been through all the different phases of our life together. From liking Sanrio to our party crew and rave days and matching first tattoos. We have been inseparable. I first started getting into events by promoting hip hop shows with Linda when we were in high school. We were always sneaking into clubs and passing out fliers to promote hip hop events. That’s also how I met Will. Being in the event and music scene at a young age and around so many creatives definitely contributed to what I currently do and where I am in my life now. Linda inspires me to be consistent with LoveMade and having Will in my life is a constant reminder that anything is possible. Being around him and his world keeps me motivated. And of course shoutout to my parents for trusting my career choices and encouraging me to do what I love.
