Meet Tanit Lang | Creator of Natural & Organic Hair and Skincare Brand, Trinity Noire’

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tanit Lang and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tanit, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought behind starting Trinity Noire’ was a process. I recently changed the way I ate and eliminated meat and processed food. I also did the big chop and was growing my natural hair. I was feeling amazing yet unsatisfied with skincare as a whole. I wanted a more natural moisturizer for my skin and was tired of buying products that had ingredients I never heard of. I started researching natural plant based oils and began testing on myself. I never thought I would create a brand when I was testing different oils, It wasn’t until I saw the amazing results on my skin that I started applying those same oils to my hair. I started giving out samples, of what is now known as my Signature Oil, to family, colleagues and friends. The feedback blew my mind and let me know I was on to something. Although I didn’t think I was creating a brand or a business just yet, I named my oil “Goddess Oil” and started putting my newly created formula in bottles.

What should our readers know about your business?
Trinity Noire’ is an all natural, organic hair and skincare brand. It was created for women looking for a natural alternative for their hair and skincare. While on this journey I found there was a sea of men that wanted to use natural products on their hair and skin as well, which is why, I launched Trinity Noir For Him in 2023.
What sets Trinity Noire’ and Trinity Noir For Him apart from others is we are more than a brand, we are an experience. From the moment you see the logo, table display, or the packaging, it draws you in and makes you want feel and smell each and every product. Once you try any of the Trinity Noire’ or Trinity Noir For Him products, your skin will never feel softer or more hydrated.
What makes me most proud of Trinity Noire’ is the ingredients I use are all natural and organic and the best of the best for hair and skin. There are no additives, no preservatives, no binders, just all natural organic plant based oils and butters. I also use dark glass bottles which is the best for preserving the healing properties of each oil.
When I look back to where I started to where I am now, I am so thankful and grateful for all the ups and the downs. I dedicated almost 5 years in my research and testing before officially launching Trinity Noire’ in December of 2022. I didn’t have a logo at first, just vinyl letters I placed on my bottles. I started with just 1 product which was my Signature oil. I now have 6 products, natural candles and a men’s line. This is the first time I allowed my passion to lead the way. I feel so good when I am making a batch of oil or body butters. I love to create a new table display or new eye catching packaging to wow my potential customers. I never felt like this going to work for someone else. I love knowing I created a product that is good for you. And I live by the tag I created “Made With Love and Good Intentions” I truly believe we all should approach each day with Love and Good Intentions; that is my secret to success.
Starting a business has its ups and downs and can be expensive if you are using your own funds. It can also be lonely depending on your support system. I learned many lessons in the few years I have been in business and the best lesson I learned is to always believe in myself, take pride in my creation and to also show up as my true authentic self.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting NYC and I wanted to show them the best time ever I would start with a few of my favorite spots to eat like Seasoned Vegan in Harlem, The Bayou and Shaw-nae’s House in Staten Island for some good eats. Good Times 4 Events for one of their card party nights. Hit the boardwalk or the Westside Highway for a bike ride or a stroll, and definitely a karaoke bar to have drinks and good laughs.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people that unknowingly igniting the fire in me to create Trinity Noire’ and I want to thank each and everyone of them, by name
My childhood friend Kim Joyce. After using the oil she said “If you don’t put it in bottles and sell it, I will”
My Nail Tech Christina. She was the first person to buy my oil and she showcased my oil and sold it out of her nail salon. She sold it when I only had vinyl labels and the ingredients were on an index card.
My Fro Sista Tyra Wilson. She makes the best natural candles and I went to one of her events and was blown away by her presentation, her product and her packaging. She is the reason I upgraded my branding and Trinity Noire’ has a more elegant look.
My Mama Shirley- She speaks life into me each and everyday and never lets me forgets how amazing I am or how amazing the Trinity Noire’ brand is. My Mama is my loudest cheerleader and the voice I hear whenI am second guessing myself. The three things I always hear my mama tell me is “Baby Girl, you can do whatever you put your mind to, I am so proud of you, and I am amazing because I leave people better than I found them.
My husband Luke- He told me from the moment I made the first batch of “Goddess Oil” and he felt how soft my hair and skin was. He said I need to put it in bottles and sell it. He is my biggest supporter and my partner in everything. He believed in me from the first batch and continues to believe in me on this journey of growing the Trinity Noire’ brand.
