We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, what’s your definition for success?
Success is like the aim of a strong purpose . So if you’re aiming to be great you have to keep going no matter what. If you want to be successful that means you’ll do anything to get there.

I didn’t grow up with much, but I didn’t grow up with nothing. It took a lot of hard work to get to where I’m at now because there were a lot of rough patches. Growing up watching someone I cared about very much being abused was a lot on me at a young age. Though I was young I understood what was going on. I didn’t like hearing about it or seeing. I was scared and always thought to myself “what’s going to happen next” or “what if that was me. That’s why I always told myself “when i get older I’m going to be a responsible independent queen”. Growing up I didn’t have much not saying we were broke but it was hard I was young and couldn’t help out as much…the only thing I had to worry about was school. My family and I lived in a homeless shelter for a month, it wasn’t bad but looking back and looking at the other families that were in that shelter with us, I can say we came along way. I kept in touch with the other kids for a good little minute and I can say they’re doing great after all the things they’ve been through as well. Looking back on all that I can say I’ve came a very long way. Everything I’ve been through taught me sometimes you have to take that chance no matter what, believe in yourself, and most importantly have faith. So this is how I got my start becoming an actor and model. I started last year around August. I started off getting offers from different magazines. I have been featured in several magazines and made the cover of one. Being in those magazines help me get discovered and noticed by agencies. I started training with John Casablancas, I did acting and modeling classes with them for 30 weeks and let me tell you it was worth every penny. There were times I felt like giving up but I didn’t, this was something I was passionate about so I have to keep pushing through. It was many times I wanted to just end everything, so many times I thought about killing myself. I started cutting myself for a while, then I got therapy. I was stressed about school and everything else that was going on. In the end I got the help I needed and started to think about my loved ones, and how selfish that would be of me and what would my family do without me. On October 4th, 2021 I lost my great grandmother, losing her opened my eyes. It was time to grow up and get my head straight. My nana was my best friend, she always told me “Kaykay never give up on something you love” my nana always called me Kaykay don’t know where she got Kaykay from because there is no “k” in my name but I will never forget her telling me that. I’m going to make you proud nana I love you. Training with John Casablancas I booked a photoshoot in Atlanta with their agency, it was so fun gave me the chance to show off my personality and just enjoy myself. Few months later I booked a photoshoot with icon studies, also in Atlanta. I felt like a movie star, they did my hair, my makeup, everything, felt like I was in Hollywood ! A few months later I got the chance to interview with a worldwide agency… Manikin Agency. working with them has been a dream come true, I had the opportunity to audition for a new tv show called Moore of Brianna and lucky me I made it. I was booked for the show and will be playing the part of the cashier filming in November. I couldn’t have done all this without the help and major support from my family. I’ve been through a lot and I couldn’t have done it without them, especially my mom. So to you mom everything you did was worth it! I’ll never be the type of person to act like I got it all because I know I don’t. I know I can get whatever I want and need, I never had to flex like I do this on my own. It took a lot of hard work and tears and help from my family and friends. I didn’t have to lie and say I never need my family because I did. Anytime I called they were there! Money, food, etc whatever, they were there. Whatever I needed they made sure I got it. Some people folks flex so much, and swear they got it all by themselves but if u sit back nd look and think and put your pride to the side for just a second, you had help from GOD, your family, etc. Everyone did not make it on their own. Take Beyoncé for example or any type of music artist, actor, model etc, they had help from somebody. Like I said in the beginning it took a lot to get to where l’m at now. I didn’t do this on my own I had help from my family, a whole lot of help because I couldn’t do it on my own. I’m young still in high school. Yes, I like posting about the things I’ve accomplished working with different influencers, actors, etc because i can, not to flex or be a show off but just to show people if you put your pride to the side and stop acting like somebody your not and be yourself, work hard and give everything to GOD and never be afraid to ask for help whether it’s finically or whatever it is, ask I promise somebody is going to help u. My mottled always told me l never needed a job but I got one because I want to help my momma out one day, I want to be able to get the things I want when I want it. People always saying “u finna be on tv ‚u do this u do that” At least I can say I had job. I was working wit a world wide top talent agency! Some of y’all don’t understand because you’re not putting in the work. After reading this I hope you all understand TAKE that risk, do what you have to do for you and nobody else.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would love to take my friends to Atlanta . If it was up to me I would take them to fun spot I hope that’s what it is called but it has a lot of fun things such as, bowling, skating, and bumper carts….for going out to eat any where because we all eat the same thing literally.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom , my grandma and especially my great mother. My mom and grandma are literally my best friends if it wasn’t for them pushing me I don’t know where I would be today and for my Great grandmother aka my nana everything I’m doing is for you I told you I was going to make you proud and I am #longlivemynana
