We had the good fortune of connecting with Tess Vockler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tess, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
A love of storytelling and passion for music encouraged me to explore a create career. I was a violinist and could read music as well as singing in choirs and being the ultimate show pony from a very early age. It was all very musical from the get go and I loved putting on shows for people, performing in garish outfits for family friends when I was just a child haha. When I finished school it made sense for me to continue with my music. My mum also recognised a musical love within me and inspired me to continue studying music. She was so supportive and still is. I love empowering and entertaining people. Making them feel inspired with my sound!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The purpose of my music is to inspire, empower and allow people to escape into another world and be freed from worry. I love people and I love communicating this in my music. Lyrically I use my words to express myself and creatively with dancing and playing music at DJ gigs – which is the ultimate place of excitement.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents who offer all the support and guidance, love I have ever needed, my grandparents who are full of wisdom, my manager Tom who continues to keep the pedal on the medal, close girlfriends who back me and boost me. my producer, my followers in Australia and around the world who have joined me on this journey and been as loyal as ever. I have had some followers since 2014!
