We had the good fortune of connecting with Tha Sneak and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tha, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
If you’re thinking of giving up it’s only because you want to keep going more but you’re holding back. You have got to believe it to get to it. You have to be ready to face yourself head on, and correct yourself to be the best you can. Failure is a growth. Lots of successful people will tell you they failed so many times before they got to where they are today. We all will fail and feel defeated, but that’s where a new chapter begins. I don’t find my best self in fame or fortune, I find it through love and passion, two gifts you should never take for granted. I use that same drive to do all I can, and thank God I able to be here.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’d say what’s different about me compared to other artists is actually nothing. I see us all equal. We all got different ways of doing things and saying things and that’s what makes art art. I’d say I’m proud of failing, because it’s shown me what I need to work on, yes times are very hard, and failing can hit like a brick, that was until I realized I can build with those bricks cause if I give up it’ll all be for nothing. A lesson I learned along the way was to always stay true to myself. People wanna see people for who they really are, when you lie and paint a fantasy, I guarantee every single time when the truth gets out those people who trusted in you and believed in you will turn away. My art is pure reflection of me. Any song you see of mine was an accurate representation of myself, my battles, my accomplishments, my failures, and my dreams at the time. If you listen from my first song to my very latest song, you’ll be able to see how much I’ve changed and grown as time went on, and a big goal of mine is to be able to encourage people to be strong and keep going hard.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely gotta hit the hiking trails here in Pennsylvania. Me and my friends, can’t let a beautiful day go to waste. If the sun is shining, go out there and reflect it. Grab a basketball and hoop all day long at local parks. If that isn’t to your taste, let’s go hit the city, Philadelphia has many beautiful places, not to mention they are the home of the Birds, Sixers, and Phlyer’s, catching a game here is a must. If you’re looking to turn up, hit Reading, it’s got plenty of bars and clubs, and the pagoda. If you’re Italian like me, there’s plenty of great Italian food all over in Pennsylvania, but if you want to go on a drive, let’s go show love to our neighbors New Jersey and New York, where the Italian food is even better!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to BOSSA GT. If it wasn’t for him, I would’ve never gave music a shot. To this day he be cooking heat for artists and has done a lot of mixing and mastering for me. Much love for my dawg for real.
Shoutout to HoneyBerryDrip for reaching out and giving me opportunities to work with him. It’s super dope to see a growing artist give opportunities to people who are new and willing to commit to the work they make. He’s truly been a big inspiration for me as an artist and has helped me get to where I’m at today. Much love for my dawg too.
Another big shoutout to my homie Capital X, if Eminem and JID had a kid, it’d be this man. Through him I learned to expand my creativity, he once told me how he forced himself day in and day out to rap until he could do it with ease, 24 hour lockdown don’t got shit on this man when it comes to commitment, friendship, and focus. Much love to him too.
Another shoutout to my brother, he went by Dom Fresco back in the day when he was rapping and to this day it’s impossible for me to comprehend why he stopped cause he’s just that talented. He was getting good numbers upon his first few releases on SoundCloud, but found passion elsewhere, but rumor has it that he might come back to the rap game someday. As a matter of fact, he did make a song for fun on his birthday after 6 years of not rapping and it was like he never even left the booth. Much love to him and the rest of my family and friends for constant support too.
