Meet The Drunken Stoner | Stand up Comedian, Producer & Sexy Monster

We had the good fortune of connecting with The Drunken Stoner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi The Drunken Stoner, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Everything’s a risk but is the risk worth the outcome.. . I knew that producing independent comedy shows would be directly competing with conventional comedy clubs. I feel comedy can be enjoyed anywhere. Putting on a show with cannabis, comedy and beer you get a lot more no’s than yes’s but my vision never changes.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m proud of the network of stoners, comedians and drunks I’ve created over the past few years, really nice degenerates and very supportive people. It feels really good seeing comedians who otherwise wouldn’t get the stage time being able to get a chance to shine. Being from Los Angeles and starting comedy here, it was like jumping into a sharks tank and not knowing how to swim. You gotta learn to adapt or else you drown or get eaten. Anybody can be a comedian, but you really have to want it. I guess the way the brand started was Steven Timbol fell into a nuclear reactor in front of an audience in Hollywood he emerged something different, something grotesque, the drunken stoner. My shows ended up so wild audience members demanded a bigger show thus Drunk N Stoned Festival was born. We are coming up on our 4th festival and it seems surreal. My life has always been about comedy and the community. In bringing people together on a platform that celebrates this, the world’s a happier place.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Anyone who comes to LA always wants bomb Mexican food and I always take my guests directly from the airport to this gas station near my house that makes the best burritos. The place is called cilantro in North Hollywood, the carne Asada burrito with habanero sauce is the move but you can’t go wrong with anything.
Then on to a great hike for views of the city or beach.
If they are in the mood for a great burger for lunch I take them to my favorite spot called the Munch Box in Chatsworth for the absolute best Chili cheese burgers, chili cheese fries, and a root beer float the city has to offer!
After a nice fill of tasty greasy food I take my guests to a cannabis event called Fumes to shop form great vendors at wholesale prices and enjoy the ambiance before departing to my favorite Korean bbq spot in town Gen it’s a franchise I know but It’s absolutely delicious and the location on reseda Rocks! To finish the night off we scoop some local beers from mission liquor and some hot bread pudding from B Sweet at the Topanga Social and end the night at a Drive in movie at the Paramount drive in with some original Tommys Chili, and sausage breakfast burritos to sop up the beers of the day.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I really couldn’t do anything of this without my wife Sarah. She helped me with my first festival so much that I married her at my third festival. ( no joke seriously we got married this past July).
Also every comedian who rocks the stages at our shows, events, & festivals. We’ve worked with so many talented people it’s hard to thank just one.
