We had the good fortune of connecting with Tian Boothe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tian, we’d love to hear about a book that’s had an impact on you.

A book I once read was ‘The Alchemist’.

I like it because it told a story while teaching very valuable life lessons.

The impact it had on me was that the right partner will always wait for you. It was a really valuable to me because I am a person who likes to keep to myself and I have only had one relationship in my life thus far. I have met a few people I who I would have given an opportunity but the way they behave it’s quite sad. So when a situation like this comes along I remember how the woman waited for this man to finish what he needed to do before he was able to get back around to her. It’s a beautiful story and it’s always a pleasure to reread books that fill me with hope that I too will stumble into a loving relationship one day.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

I am a Film Director. I have four STEM degrees and two art degrees. For me I have learnt so far that unfortunately people don’t always stick around with you till the end wether it be friends or family. It’s been sad to learn it at such a late time of life but it is what it is. I want everyone to know i’m an artist and I’m here to share my love for art. So even if you don’t want to be friends with me I hope you enjoy my work!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

I’ve never really had a best friend. And if I was close to having one we weren’t able to go outside together because we we in elementary school; so it’s really hard to answer such a question in which I have no experience.

I haven’t really been able to experience the city. It’s no fun going places by myself so I haven’t really checked it out. I’m sure there are lovely destinations here in Los Angeles which I would love to check out some day.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

I would definitely want to shout out my children.

They are such a joy to be around and I feel so happy when I do things that make them happy. In my life I have never accepted payment for babysitting any children. To all the children I have ever spent days and weeks with I just want to tell you how happy you have always made me.

To all the children I used to visit in the orphanages and tell stories to I hope you grew up and are enjoying your lives or found families.

And of course to my 6 year old son Tai I really appreciate how you always tell me people are stupid when they treat me unfairly.

To all my lovely children in the world I dedicate my shoutout to because when life seems hard I remember how much I care for all of you and all the fun times we ever shared.
