We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Darrell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
From the very beginning I have treated my Business like a corporate company and made a Business plan and marketing plan and carry a strict weekly schedule to keep myself on target as a Entrepreneur. Every Monday I set aside time for Invoices, bookkeeping, responding to emails, setting up consultations with clients and site visits. Every Tuesday and Wednesday I make sure the staff has their schedule and make payroll and follow up with clients and any vendors. By Thursday we are preparing for all our weekend events. By keeping myself to a schedule I stay on task and execute most my goals each week. Then throughout the week I update my social media and website and other adverting that needs to be updated. I would say all the tools I learn in my college education Im still using to this day. I work with Spreadsheets, Word, Powerpoint and other software for organization and email marketing. I also attend Networking events and other events frequently which is important in the Hospitality Industry.

What should our readers know about your business?
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE what I do. I own a full service Catering / Bakery and Event Planning Company. We specialize in over 14 cuisines and we highlight comfort food and elevate with an upscale twist. What sets me apart is the attention to details and going above and beyond for each and every client. It was a long road to get to where I am today over 13 years in the business as this is my sole source of income. I had to grow a lot personally and overcome many professional challenges in order to survive. Even today during COVID my business as many business in my industry took a huge hit and I had to pivot to stay open. I have learned always stay true to your self and your vision. Nobody knows your vision but you and its ok to make mistakes because from challenges and even failures come big breaks and huge success. I want everyone to know please support small business in any way you can. I came from a family where my Dad didn’t graduate from Highschool let alone go to college. However you start in life, difficult as it may seem doesn’t have any barren on where you are going and what your meant to be and do in this life. You can do anything and everything you want to do its just a matter of doing it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For sight seeing we will have to go downtown, check out Hollywood and hit all the tourist spots even take a drive to Beverly Hills and Melrose. I would also take them to San Diego or Oceanside and if we have time Santa Barbara area. For eating spots Have to go to all the famous LA eateries. Roscoes Chicken and Waffles, Inn and Out, Randy’s Donuts, and for luxury Dinning Yamashiro over looking all of Hollywood. Also there are great restaurant in Marina Del Rey, Killer Shrimp and The Warehouse. For fireside lounges I love The Marriot and Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Rey. For dancing and night life I like LA LIVE, The Edison, The Westin Bonaventure, The Conga Room. I love Museums and Concerts as well so maybe the Broad or even the La Brea Tar Pits. If they are into outdoors the observatory and Hiking the Hollywood sign at Night. So much to do in LA. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family first and foremost deserve a huge shout out. If it wasn’t for the full support of my Mother Shirley Dutton and Siblings and close friends I would not be where I am today. Also big shout out to all the staff, admin, faculty and teachers that I have learned from during my college years each and every person I learned and gained so much insight. Big thank you also To My Highschool Culinary Arts teacher Ms Bloom and David Kerkoff they helped shape me and my career at an early age. I was already competing in Culinary Competition when I was in Highschool. Lastly big shout out to any one who has ever support Tiffany’s Catering. My clients have been truly the best and keeps me in business.
