Meet Tina minasyan | Health & Beauty

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tina minasyan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tina, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
Definitely going through with getting weightloss surgery. I never realized just how much my weight was holding me back from reaching my full potential. Throughout the years I have now realized that it was never about the weight, it was about choosing to love myself. Weightloss was just a catalyst

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When I got WLS i didnt think it would turn into a job, if I had any clue I would have taken more before pictures! I just genuinely wanted to share my journey with everyone, little did I know there were so many people out there with the same feelings and stuck in the same predicament.
My goal since then has been to be a familiar friend, someone you can message casually and ask a question too.. ive never gotten the appeal of being a unreachable influencer, I think it ruins the sense or community and the “social” in social media.
For many years leading up to the pandemic everything came super easy, posts were doing great, and offers were rolling in.. When the pandemic hit I had to reevaluate what I was doing and why I was doing it, instagram was no longer making me happy. Why? because I wasnt healthy. I had gone down a path of drinking and anxiety meds that put me in a deep funk for over a year, and coming back from that has been one of the hardest things ive ever done.
The pressures of being an online “health” influencer is super high, if I gained 5 lbs and it showed I would get attacked-but when I was struggling with keeping food down and lost 30lbs in a month people were praising me.
I guess in the end you have to love yourself enough to know that life is filled with ebbs and flows and all you can do it go along for the ride.
I am just now starting to realize that me weight cannot define me, its only taken me 28 years!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First off, beach cities -specifically Malibu and Santa Monica The santa monica pier is my happy place and it just brings back so many memories.
Elephante for some drinks and an amazing dinner, and end the night and shorebar
That sounds like the perfect day!
Over on my side of town (glendale) visiting El Sauz Tacos and Raffis Kebob is a must and all my guests love it!
and of course a quick little palm springs getaway to catch a tan, gamble, and ride some atvs.
head over to beverly hills for some shopping and wine at Wallys (the perfect day)
I love how close we are to the mountains, the beach, the desert- its like all vacations in one!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family. It hasnt always been easy dealing with the stress and anxieties that I have, but they are always right by my side. Thank you mom for buying my first camera.
Thank you dad for calling me beautiful so many times that I started to actually see it.
Thank you to my sister who never complained and always took my content pictures.
