We had the good fortune of connecting with Tippy Wong and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tippy, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
The most important thing I have done as a parent in terms of impacting my child is that I am exemplifying the importance of following my personal pursuits within my business. As a creative arts healer I am exemplifying to my child the importance to also make space for integration through the ebbs and flows of building my business. My child will be the first in my family to see what it took to create a legacy for us in a holistic and very real manner.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Miss Tippy Wong LLC is a personal brand and business that empowers people to holistically transform their lives through therapy, coaching, and product based tools. I help my people awaken to their inner magician archetype so they can experience the personal shifts that activate their ideal transformation. This phenomena is what I call “owning your magic”.
I am most proud of my ability to own my magic within my own life; I moved to LA at the age of 21 with only $600 and a dream. It took me 7 years, lots of education and experience to accept and love what is now my personal brand and business. I did struggle through this; I slept on couches, faced homelessness, I was pregnant and living in a shelter, and failed many times.
When I was pregnant and facing housing insecurity, I created a bath soak and body butter for myself and shared it with another mom at the shelter I was living at. The mom loved my products so much that she suggested that I share my concoctions because it helped her feel comforted and nurtured. I answered the call and developed ” The Inner Gold Cosmetics” Line. It was my prayers, intentions, self therapy, self coaching, and products that helped me overcome my struggles. It was my willingness to alchemize my struggles and that turned them into radical transformation and external empowerment.
I want the world to know that it is our responsibility to create the transformations that we are praying for, and that the journey to radical transformation does not have to be done alone. Miss Tippy Wong LLC will help you rejuvenate, nourish, and bless your vision so you to can own it radically.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love food and respect dietery science so I consider my self a “Flexiterian”. I would take my friends to eat out at some of my favorite vegan spots such as; “Sun Cafe”, “Crystal’s Soul Cafe”, and “Jammin Vegan”.
For my not so vegan days I would take my friends to restaurants such as “Mofongo’s” , “Poquito Mas”, “Porto’s”, “We Jammin” and a bomb local Korean BBQ spot.
For night outs I would spend a night at a hotel/ roof party spot in Down-town LA and have fun with the locals. I would also spend a night out in West-hollywood and kick it at the fun LGBTQ bars there as well.
For day time adventures I would take my people to go hiking near Griffith park , and Runyan canyon. (Great for burning off all those foodie calories). I would also take my friends to go hip-hop and pole dancing at Millennium Dance Studios and At Studio 216.
In my view I am the most fun, interesting, and exciting people the check out so any where I take you were just going to find more fun, interesting and exciting people. (Just kidding). The most exciting things come up when I allow my self to get lost, be open and have an adventure. My people who know me, get this about me and are open to following my fairy like trail-blazzing guide.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shoutout the most high, the infinite, and unseen but always felt universe that is God. Thank you God for always holding me up with encouragement and empowerment through many people, many groups, different religions, and many personal development books along my journey. Thank you specifically to Sasha Khis for referring me to this opportunity. I see you momma, and I thank you. Thank you to all Womban seen and unseen who are grinding to make their business goals a reality. Blessings. <3
