Meet Tj Johnson | Barber

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tj Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi TJ, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I Would Have To Say Consistency And Not Being Scared To Evolve With New Products And Hairstyles
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What Sets Me Apart From Other Barbers Is That I’m Not Celebrity Hungry, All My Everyday Clients Are Celebrities To Me.
I’m Proud Of The Fact I Get A Chance To Reach Alot Of Our Youth, Have Conversations With Them Be A Ear To Listen/Understand Them.
I Got Where I’m At Today Honestly By Staying Hungry Not Being Satisfied Going On YouTube Learning New Ways To Improve My Craft, It Wasn’t Difficult But Not Easy At The Same Time, If That Makes Sense.
Lessons I’ve Learned Along The Way Is Trust The Process Be Yourself, Stay Within Yourself Because You Can Easily Give Up On Yourself Do To Not Having A Large Clientele When You’re First Starting Off, Just Stay Down/Behind That Barber Chair Your Turn Is Coming!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First We’re Going To Hit Up The Serving Spoon Or Court Cafe For Some Brunch For Starters, Go To The COSM Have Some Drinks And Catch A NFL/NCAA Game Or A UFC/BOXING Fight. Out Here In LA We’re Have Alot Going On At Once Sofi Stadium,Intuit Dome,Crypto.Com Arena All Depends On What Type Of Vibe You Want.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Mother Deserves A Bulk Load Of The Credit She Believed In Me When I Wasn’t To Sure On What I Was Going To Do With My Life. I Remember Like It Was Yesterday, My Mother Calling Me Telling Me I Had Talent And She Was On Her Way To Pick Me Up And Enroll Me Into Barber College!!
