We had the good fortune of connecting with Toniko Frazier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Toniko, why did you pursue a creative career?
As a child I grew up around a father who was very creative himself, and thats what sparked my creative thinking. At 16 a good friend of mine started taking me to the studio as a way to get me off the streets. I graduated high school because of that, so I stayed with it. Went to the military two years later, stationed in ft. Stewart, Ga. and used it as a way to network and fund my music career. In 2016 I came back home to California and started my, Brand RaCulture, and amidst of that learned photography. By August 13th of2020, I graduated LA Film School with an Associates of Science In Music Production. Along with that, I started my own Recording Studio Business with Artists, Producers, and Engineers.

What should our readers know about your business?
I have a team that is highly motivated and are always open to learn. Very proud to be musically inclined, I went from a rapper to a musician. Had work hard. and go to school so I could discipline myself with my future. It was it hard at times, but I knew purpose and thats what got me through. Along with the challenges and achievements, I was taught that being motivated and persistent are the major keys. Everyone has purpose and honestly music became mine. It really saved my life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would say the Pike in Long Beach. It’s a traditional thing for me and its perfect because you have the beach, restaurants, and stores all within walking distance. I would suggest going to views like the pelican cove, in Palo Verdes or checking out restaurants like El Sals in Long Beach.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shoutout my RaCulture Team, My Family, and my supporters.
